Known for being one of the Jackasses in the famous Jackass movies and also for dating Nicole Richie, Steve-O has now confirmed rumours that he is being treated in a psychiatric ward. US reports him as posting on a blog,
“Under the title “You should all know I am in the looney bin,” the Jackass star, 30, writes:
“They call it ‘code 5150,’ that means ‘psycho,’ legally, f—-n bat-s–t, certifiably.
“I’m outta my mind, believe-you-me. How’d I get this way? How can this be? It’s gotten so bad there’s nothing left of me.”
I don’t know if this comes as a shock to anyone else but if you’ve ever seen any of the movies, it really shouldn’t be all that surprising. His friend and co-Jackass Johnny Knoxville showed up at his home one day and took him to the hospital with physical force. This must have been after WWE cancelled one of their Pay-Per-View shows that was supposed to have Steve-O appear and fight one of the big names. WWE cancelled the show due to the fact that they couldn’t handle Steve-O in the dressing room. When you start turning off wrestlers, you gotta know there’s a problem.
But being treated for a mental state is not the end of his problems. He was also charged on Friday for cocaine possession and on March 3 he was arrested for vandalism and possession of a controlled substance. The incident on March 3 and this past Friday were related.
