“Ryan Phillippe let his forearm tattoo peek out from his tight white shirt while running errands around LA Monday. With MacGruber coming out later this month the normally private star is opening up in interviews all over including one about all his body art — Ryan showed off his shirtless sexy back for Inked magazine and also revealed how he covered up a ladybug tat he got for Reese years ago. His ex wife has been a frequent topic of conversation during the lead up to his movie’s release and Ryan seems to have won back some fans talking about his sadness over their breakup and found support in how unfairly he’s been treated in the media.”

What was even more interesting than the article itself were the comments that followed. The majority of people actually seem to be siding with Ryan and turning on Reese! Now, that’s bass-ackwards if I’ve ever heard it! A lot of the comments pointed out that Reese seems to always give the “correct” answer in interviews and that she seems very cold and standoffish, whereas Ryan has always been honest and open, even if we may not have always liked what he’s had to say.

Okay, I get the whole Reese/iceberg thing. But really. She’s one of the biggest and hottest stars in Hollywood and she has absolutely zero private life. So if she’s a little snotty to the paps that camp outside the grocery store when she’s just trying to pick up some juice for her kids, I get that. Ryan, on the other hand, has not always been open and honest. Even if he’s been honest about everything else in his life, he has always vehemently denied the fact that sleeping with Abbie Cornish was the reason for his divorce. He’s always claimed that the marriage was over before they started screwing and I. Don’t. Buy. It. And, even if you’re being honest about everything else, if you can’t pony up to the really big stuff and own it, then I don’t care what other useless crap falls out of your mouth.

So, I’ve had my say. I haven’t forgiven Ryan Phillipe. Have you?

Yes, Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish have split after Ryan cheated on her too and Abbie gave him the boot. It seems that Ryan has been spending a lot of time with other women lately in clubs and whatnot and Abbie finally had enough. In a slick move, she moved out of the home the two shared while Ryan took his kids to visit a friend. Hmm, I wonder if Ryan knew about that little relocation before it happened? From NY Daily News,

“Abbie ended the relationship with Ryan and she moved out of their home,” the actress’ rep confirmed to People.

While Phillippe was visiting a friend with his children, Ava, 10, and Deacon, 6, on Sunday, the “Bright Star” actress was spotted moving out of the Los Angeles house she shared with the actor.

Cornish, 27, and Phillippe, 35, who met on the set of their war drama “Stop-Loss,” weathered intense media scrutiny in 2006 after they began dating around the same time as the actor’s divorce from Reese Witherspoon.

Being linked to the demise of Phillippe’s seven-year marriage proved to be “a really difficult time for me,” Cornish told W magazine last year.

“In a normal, successful career, someone usually learns these things bit by bit. For me, it was like night and day,” she said. “I woke up one day and there was this whole new thing I had to process and deal with.”

Ugh. Could I feel any less sorry for poor little homewrecker Abbie Cornish? Yes, sometimes it works out that celebrities deal with being under the spotlight bit by bit. But when you’re in your first movie, and you immediately hook up with your co-star that’s married and has kids, you’re bound to have a few people looking your way pretty quickly. And who ever said that Abbie Cornish had a successful career? I’d bet I’m not the only one who knows her more as being Ryan Phillippe’s mistress than anything else.

“I think the most important thing is to be a grownup,” she says, “and not let any kind of feelings affect how you deal with your children.”

For the mother-of-two – who finalized her divorce from Ryan Phillippe in June – that means having “a lot of communication” with her ex-husband and “just being very open.”

“I’m very lucky in that we raise our kids to just be happy,” the actress, 32, said Sunday in Beverly Hills while promoting her film Four Christmases – a comedy that focuses on the challenges of blended families. “I think the most important thing is the children. What do they want, what makes them feel comfortable?”

“When I first held my baby, Ava, [that] was the first time I’d ever held a baby in my life,” she said. “So I understand that sort of fear or not being a good mom. It took me a long time to feel really comfortable in the role of being a mother.” (In addition to Ava, now 9, Witherspoon and Phillippe also have a son, Deacon, 5.)

As for marriage, “I [had] a certain idea what I thought marriage gives,” says the actress – who’s now dating Jake Gyllenhaal, 27. But “sometimes it doesn’t work out that way so you have to be open to whatever comes your way in life. … Love and relationships take all kinds of shapes and it’s not necessarily the ones you recognize.”

So, would she ever get married again? “I don’t know,” she says, laughing. “I don’t think about it much.”

The fact that she was scared to death about holding her newborn baby girl just makes her even more real than she was to begin with. I think, whether you’ve ever held a baby before or not, every parent has those fears when their child has just been born and it’s just another reason for fans to connect with her. And even though she does talk about how her marriage didn’t work out, she doesn’t give nitty gritty details or drag Ryan’s name through the mud. She instead talks about how she only wants to do what’s best for the kids. And isn’t that what every mother should do? It’s so nice to see that some celebrity moms think that too! There’s no doubt about it, Reese is nothing but class!

Ryan and Abbie just make me ill. They get together while Ryan is still married, completely destroy everything, then lie about it, and continue to lie about it for almost two years! They have just recently come out and started to allow themselves to be seen in public together and have recently admitted, by attending an event together and having many PDAs while there, that they are ‘in love.’ Blech! Meanwhile, Reese seemed to be doing just dandy with boyfriend of just over a year, Jake Gyllenhaal, and the last that was heard on the two was that they were planning to move in together. These two are super-cute and while I think that Reese may want to wait awhile before she gets wedding bells ringing in her head, I hope these two are happy for a long time. He really does seem like a nice guy but hmmm….then again, so did Ryan.

On the other side of the story is that Reese Witherspoon, one of my all-time Hollywood favorites, is also about to marry her boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal, who she has been dating since last summer. I’m glad that Reese opted to wait it out a little until she said yes but I don’t think she gave it quite enough time. Her and Ryan’s divorce was only finalized this past June! I think both of them need to just take some time and decide what will really be best for them. At least Reese took a little time to herself before she even began dating unlike that cheater.

“According to the new issue of Us Weekly, cutie lovebirds Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are have shacked up! The mag says that Jakey boy has moved his stuff into Reese’s place in L.A. and is already playing step-daddy to her and ex, Ryan Phillippe’s kids, Ava and Deacon.

“Marriage is definitely what they are working toward,” a source close to the actress said of the Rendition co-stars, who have been dating for over a year.

“They literally don’t want to spend any time away from each other,” another one of Reese’s pal said.”

These two have seemed to have a perfect relationship so far and appear to be completely ga-ga over each other. I’m so happy that Reese’s ship may have finally come in after being screwed over by her cheating ex-husband, Ryan Phillipe. The two were friends for quite some time before filming Rendition together, where they fell in love.

“Jay Leno, 57, issued a statement Tuesday saying he was sorry for the gay jokes he did last week. “I realize that what I said came out wrong. I certainly didn’t mean any malice. I agree it was a dumb thing to say and I apologize,” he said quoted by E! Online.

During the show, Leno asked Phillippe to pretend that the camera was his “gay lover.” “Say that camera is your gay lover…Can you give me your gayest look? Say that camera is Billy Bob [Thornton]—Billy Bob has just ridden in shirtless from Wyoming.” The 33-year-old actor felt quite uncomfortable due to Leno’s remarks. “That is so something I don’t want to do. Are you just going to embarrass me tonight?” Philippe said.”

The entire thing came about when the two began talking about Ryan’s first role on One Life to Live in which he played a gay teenager. Not only is it offensive to the gay community to assume that they have certain “looks” or “faces” but this also undermines the importance of that character on the soap opera. This was the first character to ever appear on TV that was gay. It was a stepping stone to shows such as Will & Grace that had people not only accepting the gay community but embracing them and applauding them.

The GLAAD group, which stands for Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, have been outraged at Leno’s “humour” and demanded the apology. GLAAD has also posted on their website that they respect Ryan Phillipe’s decision to not help Leno further the joke.

Maybe Leno didn’t realize that what he was saying was offensive. He’s not the sharpest knife in the bunch, after all. Unfortunately, this probably won’t be enough to get him kicked off the air so we’re going to have put up with him for a little while longer.

Let’s begin with Ryan Phillipe. Talk about having too much time! Poor Ryan has stopped Googling himself because it makes him sad. Don’t worry, Ryan, everyone else has stopped Googling you ever since you treated Reese so shamelessly, as well.

And in other unworthy news, Jessica Simpson has become a fan of basketball, no doubt an attempt at impressing boyfriend Tony Romo. There were several shots of the blondie asking her boyfriend, “Exactly what are they doing?”

It was also reported that Paris Hilton and Benji Madden are now in South Africa. Upon seeing this, I was concerned they were going to adopt a baby but it turns out they’re just there for Good Charlotte’s tour.

And the paparrazi weren’t the only ones thinking about Paris. So was Lindsay Lohan as she stomped out of a fashion show in true celeb-style drama and rage all because Paris’ handbag line was one of the sponsors. Puh-leaze! When will these stars grow up?

And for those who really, truly have nothing to do, here is a picture of pregnant Jessica Alba leaving a nail salon. Oh boy!

Hooking up with Ashlee Simpson in March 2007? “Again, not true,” Phillippe responded. “I stood next to her at a place called Les Deux, a club in Los Angeles.”

Sex with his I Know What You Did Last Summer costar Jennifer Love Hewitt? “I did not have sex with [her],” he said. “It did occur to me. She was very young and her mother was there all the time… but I was in a hot tub with her when she was 18.”

“I know Lindsay Lohan wanted you,” Stern pressed.

“Yeah,” Phillippe responded.

Phillippe conceded to Stern that Angelina Jolie is “probably” the hottest actress he’s filmed a love scene with.

“Is she very sexual?” Stern asked.

“I would think so, yeah,” Phillippe responded, though he also denied hooking up with the actress while they filmed 1998’s Playing By Heart.”

Howard Stern is such a skeez; it’s not a wonder he wanted Ryan Phillippe on his show. Two guys, that have no respect for women, sitting around, chatting it up. On the other hand, Ryan might be telling the truth about his affairs, and them being nonexistent. At least he’s putting on a happy face for Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Paul McCartney’s divorce from Heather Mills continues to haunt us as well since they cannot come to a decision in court. Come on, Heather, I don’t think anybody’s on your side!

Then we have the recent and sad breakup of Pink and Carey Hart. Truly a sad story, let’s just hope it doesn’t make us sick for years to come.

Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper have been separated for some time and are now actually getting divorced. Well, maybe the news of this split will only last as long as their marriage…A total of four months.

And lastly, there’s the barely famous duo Travis Barker, former Blink 182 drummer and Shanna Moakler, who was once a beauty queen. They’ve gotten divorced as well but I don’t think anyone noticed so talk probably won’t be around for long.

“They met for lunch this week at the Votre Sante health-food restaurant, a regular Brentwood haunt for Reese on San Vicente. And they’re going on runs together around the Brentwood Country Club. Both are regular, dedicated runners. Running is a very healing, meditative thing, so maybe it will work its magic on them… Reese and Ryan are trying to work it out. They are still close.”

No photos were shot of the supposed lunch, so who knows… but Dotspotter claims that Page Six is “usually pretty legit”, so we’ll see. Ryan Phillippe’s representatives claimed it never happened, but, they also claimed that the two weren’t splitting up before they divorced. So… go figure.

Ryan Phillippe has been mum about his split from wife Reese Witherspoon since their divorce was announced on Oct. 30 � until now.

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Phillippe says, �I�m not a perfect person, but I�m not guilty of a lot of the things I have been accused of. My priority is and always has been the health and safety of my family.”

Phillippe, 32, and Witherspoon, 30, have a daughter Ava, 7, and son Deacon, 3.

Phillippe will not comment on reports that a relationship with Abbie Cornis � the Australian actress who costars with him in an upcoming film � played a role in the demise of his seven-year marriage to Witherspoon. But his reps vehemently deny other recent allegations of hard partying and drug use.

It�s no secret that Phillippe has always enjoyed hitting the clubs with friends. He and Witherspoon “would fight over that kind of thing all the time. He got away with a lot and he knows it,” according to a source at a Santa Monica bar that Phillippe used to frequent.

His rep, however, denies it: “Look, he went out, she went out, it wasn�t a point of conflict.”

Others who know them say Phillippe often stayed at his Venice office after arguments with Witherspoon, sometimes “for days a time,” says the source. “He said she hated that.”

Whatever happens next, says a Phillippe pal, “I know they love their kids to death. So they’ll do what they can to keep it from turning ugly.”

The financial consequences are enormous. Witherspoon now commands $29 million a movie, making her the highest paid actress in Hollywood. In 2005, Witherspoon raked in a total of $30 million for two movies, “Just Like Heaven” and “Walk the Line.”

Phillippe has been commanding around $2.5 million a film, making him bankable, but clearly not in his estranged wife’s league.

Under California law, without a prenup, earnings during a marriage are divided up 50/50.

Connected sources also tell TMZ on a scale of one to ten, one being a peaceful breakup and ten being Hasselhoff, the Witherspoon/Phillippe split is a three. And, we’re told, it will almost certainly stay peaceful, partly because of the children and partly because of the couple’s personalities.

We’re told there is no talk of reconciliation and that divorce papers are merely a matter of time.

This story just keeps getting hotter and hotter. Word on the street is that Reese broke things off with Ryan after she found several secret messages on Ryan’s blackberry. Apparently, Phillippe had gotten very close to his “Stop Loss” co-star and Australian actress, Abbie Cornish. A source tells the National Enquirer: Ryan and Abbie had a cozy dinner alone at Kenichi, an Asian restaurant.

“They came into the restaurant a month ago, both casually dressed in warm-up outfits,” an eyewitness told The ENQUIRER. “They asked for the restaurant staff to pull curtains around their table, so no one could see them.”

hate to say it, but I actually witnessed the split between Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. The Hollywood couple officially called it quits today.But two weeks ago, they came to the opening night party for Ryan’s performance in Clint Eastwood’s “Flags of our Fathers.” It was not a pretty scene. Reese was packing away cosmos and chatting happily with just about anyone, but it was clear she was peeved about something.

The party took place in the rooftop penthouse suites of the Soho Grand Hotel, and what I saw next was something I decided not to print at the time. The couple went out on the roof terrace and had a knock-down, drag-out fight. It looked like something from “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”

My line of vision was partially blocked by a big exhaust pipe, so at different times during the fight they were obscured. But then Ryan would appear, disgusted, on one side of it, and Reese on the other.

Suddenly, Reese stormed back inside, crossed past me and headed for the elevator. Ryan followed in hot pursuit. Thus, their security guards assigned for the night went running after them, thinking that they were leaving.

After a couple of minutes, though, clearer heads prevailed. The couple came back from the elevator with security in tow. Perhaps they’d forgotten that many members of Ryan’s family, including his grandmother, were still in the room, oblivious to what was going on.

All of this was alluded to in our Oct. 17 column. I referred to their marriage as “tempestuous,” trying to err on the side of good manners. It was obvious from their heated exchanges that the couple was in trouble. But no one really knows what goes inside a marriage; maybe fighting was part of their deal.

In retrospect, however, Ryan and Reese already knew it was over when they came to the “Flags of Our Fathers” party. They had already committed to it, and Phillippe’s family wanted some kind of celebration.

The sad thing is, they are both nice people. But they are also young; Ryan is 32, Reese just 30. They could never have calculated her stratospheric success.

But actresses tend to hit their stride early, with tougher times after 40. For men, it’s the opposite. In five years, Ryan could be a perennial best actor nominee.

But the early 30s � with the exception of Leonardo DiCaprio, thanks to Titanic � is the hunker-down time for most young actors. They’re too young for the good roles and too old for the teen ones.

I’m sure the tabs will be full of stories of infidelity. This column has already gotten calls about it. But I think, in the end, there are no villains for Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. It was just too much too soon.

Flags of Our Fathers star Ryan Phillippe hasn’t worked with wife Reese Witherspoon since 1999’s Cruel Intentions (they met on set), but, he says, it’s better that way.

“Sometimes I think it’s a little cleaner to, at least at this stage in our lives, keep that stuff separate,” he tells Interview magazine in its new issue. “I’d never write anything off completely, but I just feel like there’s something to be said for the individuality and mystery of doing things on your own.”

Phillippe, 32, says he’ll never get used to working away from Witherspoon and their kids Ava, 7, and Deacon, 3. “That’s a difficulty that I don’t know if I will ever totally come to terms with. But I think I commit sometimes even further to a role because it leaves me less time to think about those things that make me feel sad, like not being around my children.”

Immersing himself in his role, he says, serves as “a shield or a protective blanket that keeps me from having to deal with the reality. If I can’t see my kids, and I’m in another time zone, I really have to live and eat and breathe the work around the clock, because that keeps me sane.”

Asked if he distances himself from Witherspoon when they talk on the phone, he says, “At times, yes. But because she does the same work, she completely understands.”

The couple makes sure that if one parent is making a movie, the other will remain at home with the kids. “That’s one of the ways we keep the balance,” Phillippe says.

But, he admits, “There are obstacles in every family. � It’s never going to be perfect � you just try to do the best you can and to create a life that is positive and full for them.”

He’s got one tough critic, though. “Ava just turned 7 and just started first grade,” he says. “I’ve been down in Austin making this movie (an untitled film about Iraq directed by Kimberly Peirce), so I had the whole conversation with her where I’m getting guilted. She’s like, ‘You’ve missed my first day of school two years in a row.’ She gives me a harder time than Reese, by far.”
