Marriage seems to be the trend this week in Hollywood as there’s a lot of recent news pertaining to who’s getting married, who wants to get married, and who wants to get back together once a marriage has split up. Who knows if the marriage trend has replaced the baby trend in Tinseltown but celebs seem to have their focus turned towards nuptials and ceremonies. Here are the biggest marriage stories this week.

The long awaited wedding of Joel Madden and Nicole Richie is due to take place on June 29th and baby Harlow is going to play a large part of the ceremony, as she will be held in her mother’s arms for the entire time. Although this wedding was inevitable, it’s nice they’re doing it soon after Harlow’s birth and not dragging it on and on, using it as a publicity stunt.

Josh Duhamel and Fergie are also expected to soon take each other “for richer or poorer” but it seems that Fergie is desperately trying to make sure that it’s the latter. Her plans include a lavish wedding, pulling out all the stops and the grand affair is expected to be 1.5 million dollars. Josh however, doesn’t feel that the wedding needs to cost that much. It’s a lot of money but they have it and it’s the bride’s day so I believe he needs to back off and let her do what she will.

And there’s even news with the marriages that could be or couldn’t be, depending on which state you’re in. Rosie O’Donnell has absolutely no intention of marrying her girlfriend/wife Kelli Carpenter now that it’s legal in California. Apparently, the two are waiting until it’s legal everywhere. This seems like a simple explanation but since the two have been legally married in San Francisco, I don’t know what difference it makes. Maybe I just hate Rosie.

And as for those that have already made the walk down the aisle only to see it end in heartache? Well, in the case of Liv Tyler, she is looking to get back together Royston Langdon. The two separated just last month but Tyler now wants to work things out for the sake of their child. It’s a nice thought but that’s hardly a reason to get back together and will probably hurt their son even more in the process.

And another divorcee is not even considering the possibility of reconcilation. Although Shania Twain is also profoundly saddened about the break up of her marriage, she is trying her best to move on with life and has left a message for fans on her website, thanking them for their support and giving hope for her future. It’s nice to see that she’s trying to glean something from the experience rather than just rant about what a horrible person he is. Although, I think we all know that by now.

While many babies are being born in Hollywood this week and many couple’s are announcing pregnancies, Tinseltown still has its fair share of heartache. Here are this week’s most surprising, most predictable, and most talked about break-ups of our favorite stars this week!

The most talked-about break-up news is probably that of George Clooney and Sarah Larson. Many people have wondered about these two from the get-go and now after dating for almost a year, they have officially broken up. Nobody’s saying much on the subject so far but from the sounds of things, he’s the one that ended it with her.

Last September Dylan McDermott announced that he and his wife, Shiva Rose were separating. Now plans for his divorce have been announced and the most surprising element of this story is that McDermott is preparing to represent himself. It seems that his 7 years on The Practice has really gotten to him.

Bill Murray is also getting a divorce from his wife, Jennifer. This is serious business as apparently Murray scares his wife so badly that she needs to have a restraining order placed against him. She claims that the order is needed because of his horrible abuse and addiction to drugs and alcohol. If it’s true, it really is surprising and I would have never expected that from him. Hopefully the accusations will prove to be false on this one and I will still be able to laugh at his jokes.

In the latest Shania Twain divorce news, the rumors that Shania’s husband Robert Lange was allegedly having an affair with one of her best friends are just not true. Well, this according to the cheating dirtball and the homewrecker themselves. You can decide for yourself whether or not you believe it.

And still recovering from her recent divorce from Royston Langdon, Liv Tyler is planning on packing up their son Milo and moving him to the country. Obviously Liv is heartbroken and searching for a simpler life.

Liv Tyler is officially talking “divorce” from her husband, Royston Langdon, of five years. The two are parents of Milo, who is 3. Rumors started two weeks ago that the couple were going to be separated but Tyler’s reps were keeping mum on the subject. From US,

“Liv is doing great,” Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler told Usmagazine.com of his daughter at the Fourth Annual Musicares Map Fund benefit in Hollywood on Friday.

A rep for the couple confirmed to Us they were separating on May 8. They have a son, Milo, 3.

“They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family’s privacy be respected at this time,” the rep added.

The actress, 30, married the Arckid rocker, 36, in 2003.

Us had reported two weeks ago that the couple were talking divorce. Tyler’s rep had no comment at the time.

A source overheard the actress seeking advice from a lawyer on the phone.

“In the conversation, she complained about her husband being a ‘leech’ on her assets, and she said she got married too young,” the source told Us.

Tyler – who said in 2004, “I don’t believe in divorce” – told Us in February she had forgotten about Valentine’s Day.”

Well it seems there’s a lot happening there. I don’t think you can believe or not believe in divorce. I think you can hope not to have to go through it but as for “not believing?” That’s how people end up in unhappy marriages for fifty years or more. I’m glad she has done this if she hasn’t been happy and that she seems to have changed her beliefs.
