Anyways, yes the two have apparently split up. This report comes from Star but I did hear on the news that she had actually confirmed that the two were having problems (god, is Rosie’s love life really such earth-shattering information that we’re hearing about it on the honest-to-goodness news?!) So, this story does seem to be one that Star has gotten right. And I couldn’t help but have a little chuckle as I read it,

“It seems like Rosie O’Donnell and her partner Kelli Carpenter are splitsville!

Confirming rumors that their relationship is on the rocks, Rosie tells USA Today that she and Kelli are working out some “issues.”

“We’re a family, we remain a family and we’re working on the issues,” says Rosie. “Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties.”

The couple share four “adorable and wonderful” children together — Parker, 14, Chelsea, 12, Blake, 9 and Vivienne, 6 — who Rosie says are their top priority.

A tearful Rosie added, “But everything’s fine and everybody’s good and we’re still both raising them together. We will both continue to parent them and we’re friendly and everything’s all right.”

Okay, the actual reason why I was laughing mid-read was because Rosie seems to be so stoic and composed while saying that she and Kelli still love each other very much and that’s all she’s ever going to say. So dramatic, so classy. And then she qualifies it by saying that she’s actually not saying anymore because “that’s what’s been agreed upon by all parties.” So, is she claiming her love or is she simply letting us in on the legal situation? Then she says that everything’s alright and everyone’s doing good…while she’s crying! Oh god! I have no doubt that the reason why this relationship ended was because Kelli simply couldn’t take Rosie’s absolute nonsense anymore. And I can’t say that I blame her.

The long awaited wedding of Joel Madden and Nicole Richie is due to take place on June 29th and baby Harlow is going to play a large part of the ceremony, as she will be held in her mother’s arms for the entire time. Although this wedding was inevitable, it’s nice they’re doing it soon after Harlow’s birth and not dragging it on and on, using it as a publicity stunt.

Josh Duhamel and Fergie are also expected to soon take each other “for richer or poorer” but it seems that Fergie is desperately trying to make sure that it’s the latter. Her plans include a lavish wedding, pulling out all the stops and the grand affair is expected to be 1.5 million dollars. Josh however, doesn’t feel that the wedding needs to cost that much. It’s a lot of money but they have it and it’s the bride’s day so I believe he needs to back off and let her do what she will.

And there’s even news with the marriages that could be or couldn’t be, depending on which state you’re in. Rosie O’Donnell has absolutely no intention of marrying her girlfriend/wife Kelli Carpenter now that it’s legal in California. Apparently, the two are waiting until it’s legal everywhere. This seems like a simple explanation but since the two have been legally married in San Francisco, I don’t know what difference it makes. Maybe I just hate Rosie.

And as for those that have already made the walk down the aisle only to see it end in heartache? Well, in the case of Liv Tyler, she is looking to get back together Royston Langdon. The two separated just last month but Tyler now wants to work things out for the sake of their child. It’s a nice thought but that’s hardly a reason to get back together and will probably hurt their son even more in the process.

And another divorcee is not even considering the possibility of reconcilation. Although Shania Twain is also profoundly saddened about the break up of her marriage, she is trying her best to move on with life and has left a message for fans on her website, thanking them for their support and giving hope for her future. It’s nice to see that she’s trying to glean something from the experience rather than just rant about what a horrible person he is. Although, I think we all know that by now.

“I just believe in the unique status of marriage between man and woman,” McCain said. “And I know that we have a respectful disagreement on that issue.”

DeGeneres, who has campaigned for Hillary Clinton, compared a ban on gay marriage to the time when “blacks and women did not have the right to vote.

“We are all the same people, all of us,” said DeGeneres, who just celebrated her 50th birthday party. “You’re no different than I am. Our love is the same.”

McCain responded: “People should be able to enter into legal agreements, and I think that is something we should encourage, particularly in the case of insurance and other areas.”

Keeping the senator on the hot seat, DeGeneres replied, “When someone says, ‘You can have a contract, and you’ll still have insurance and you’ll get all that, it sounds to me like saying, ‘Well you can sit there; you can’t sit there.

“It doesn’t feel inclusive… it feels… isolated,” she added.

McCain admitted that DeGeneres’ argument was “in a very eloquent fashion,” and that he “along with many, many others, wish [her] every happiness.”

DeGeneres told McCain she was “planning on having a ceremony this summer anyway, even though it wasn’t legal.

“Then it just happened that I legally now can get married, like everyone should,” DeGeneres said.

“We just have a disagreement,” continued McCain.

“So, you’ll walk me down the aisle?” DeGeneres joked.

McCain responded: “Touche.”

Not only is it good to see celebrities taking a stand for something that is truly important to them but it’s also nice to know that not all celebs think that they need to go Rosie O’Donnell and start screaming and slandering everything in sight. Nicely put, Ellen. Keep fighting the good fight.

The loud-mouthed comedian and TV host admitted on her web site that the one thing she always wanted to do but just hasn’t gotten around to yet is to “give Jimmy Kimmel a lap dance.” She’d better be ready to rise to the occasion! Hmm. I have to say though, both the I’m F*cking Ben/Matt videos are pretty “F*cking” funny, but what could Sarah possibly do? I have a stunt in mind that involves three lemons, Oprah, and a cheese grater, but something tells me they aren’t going to pick my idea.

Bets and speculation as to when Britney Spears will die has become the conversation du jour. A Detroit, Michigan, radio station ran a contest as to who could correctly predict when Britney would die. The winner would receive $1,000. While this is beyond the pale of responsible journalism, one does have to look at Britney’s open invitation to such macabre topics.

As the media are quick to point out, Britney often invites this stalker-like behavior. Ever since her separation and divorce from Kevin Federline, she’s been a moving train wreck. If she’s not getting attention, she’ll do something to get it. She’ll get her head shaved at a beauty shop, knowing full well the cameras are clicking away. While many women shave their heads in a symbolic act of “out with the old, in with the new,” they don’t do it in such a “Look at me!” manner. Britney could’ve had someone come to her home and shave her head for her. Since she loves to wear wigs, no one would have known if she was bald.

Any celebrity who is followed as closely as she is would know that every move gets scrutinized. Being photographed as much as Britney has been, it’s hard to believe that she didn’t know there’d be photos of her without panties on splashed across the internet. Additionally, her latest boyfriend, married paparazzi Adnan Ghalib, once stalked her with his camera. Why she would enter a relationship with such a man is beyond me. I can only conclude she’s either dumb as dirt or an attention junkie. Let’s hope she gets some help soon. Unfortunately, the first step in getting help is to admit something is wrong with her. I doubt her multiple personalities will let her, though!

An old friend of Rosie O’Donnell, Janette Barber, who used to work on The Rosie O’Donnell Show, figured Rosie was in need of some retribution. So she went into the studios of The View, and drew mustaches on all the photos of Hasselbeck on the wall.

4. Dean McDermott… Tori Spelling’s new husband, has a particularly creative ex-wife. Mary Jo Eustace, after being cheated on with Tori Spelling, the “has been” and “never was”, decided to write a story; “My Husband Left Me For Tori Spelling,” after he came back from doing the Lifetime movie, told his wife, “We’re soul mates. [Tori] She loves me unconditionally . . . I don’t love you any more. And I don’t respect you. I haven’t for a very long time.” Good god. Could that guy be much more of a pig? The video, “What’s Left Of Me”, in which a Jessica look alike and he watch all of the possession they’ve acquired during their marriage disappear, with the Jessica impersonator disappearing last, is meant to describe the falling apart of their lives.

2. Britney Spears, way back before she starting getting knocked up, used to be Justin Timberlake’s significant other, for more than four years. Angry at your ex? Write a song about it, and make a video that makes her look like a cheater. Justin did. And it was a hit! Need to retaliate? Write a crappier, less popular song like Britney did:

1. Soo… we’re finally at number one! Who’s the craziest she-b**** of all time? … Well… do you remember TLC? Of course you do. Well, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes used to date the receiver of the Atlanta Falcons, Andre Rison. And day-um! did those two fight. After one argument, Left Eye tossed all of Andre’s teddy bears into the bathtub, doused them with lighter fluid, and set them on fire! Then, in the early, early hours of June 9th, 1994, (a year after an argument had led to gunplay), the couple had another fight, which ended in throwing punches, and Rison ran from the house. After that, Left Eye Lopes started another fire in the bathtub. But oops! She reflected later, “This wasn’t the same bathtub.”

No duh? The tub melted, and Andre’s house went up in flames. …Eesh. What pissed her off so much? Left Eye had found a box full of sneakers. Andre had apparently bought twenty pairs, she explained later, “and there were no size fours!”

On Wednesday Hasselbeck said that Rosie should clarify her statement – “655,000 Iraqi civilians have died. Who are the terrorists?”

Rosie said to Hasselbeck “I asked you if you believed what the Republican pundits were saying.” “Did I say yes?” Hasselbeck replied. “You said nothing and that’s cowardly,” Rosie shot back. “No, no, no. Do not call me a coward because I sit here every single day, open my heart and tell people exactly what I believe,” Hasselbeck shouted. “So do I,” O’Donnell replied.

Everyone at CBS wondered when Donald Trump was going to come out and hold Rosie down, while Elisabeth kicked her to get her frustration out. But Trump didn’t come.
