Yep, Reese and Jake are shackin up! Reese, who has won an Oscar for her role in Walk the Line started dating the Brokeback Mountain star last spring and although the two tried very hard for a long to keep their romance quiet, they can no longer keep their love under wraps as Jake has already moved in to Reese’s humble abode. From the Daily Blabber,
“According to the new issue of Us Weekly, cutie lovebirds Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are have shacked up! The mag says that Jakey boy has moved his stuff into Reese’s place in L.A. and is already playing step-daddy to her and ex, Ryan Phillippe’s kids, Ava and Deacon.
“Marriage is definitely what they are working toward,” a source close to the actress said of the Rendition co-stars, who have been dating for over a year.
“They literally don’t want to spend any time away from each other,” another one of Reese’s pal said.”
These two have seemed to have a perfect relationship so far and appear to be completely ga-ga over each other. I’m so happy that Reese’s ship may have finally come in after being screwed over by her cheating ex-husband, Ryan Phillipe. The two were friends for quite some time before filming Rendition together, where they fell in love.

Yes, it’s true. Even in the soap opera world of Hollywood, sometimes the media and bloggers just don’t have much to report on. Either that, or the stars in the news are those that no one cares about in general. This week the web waves were filled with news that just goes to show that some people just have too much time on their hands.
Let’s begin with Ryan Phillipe. Talk about having too much time! Poor Ryan has stopped Googling himself because it makes him sad. Don’t worry, Ryan, everyone else has stopped Googling you ever since you treated Reese so shamelessly, as well.
And in other unworthy news, Jessica Simpson has become a fan of basketball, no doubt an attempt at impressing boyfriend Tony Romo. There were several shots of the blondie asking her boyfriend, “Exactly what are they doing?”
It was also reported that Paris Hilton and Benji Madden are now in South Africa. Upon seeing this, I was concerned they were going to adopt a baby but it turns out they’re just there for Good Charlotte’s tour. 
And the paparrazi weren’t the only ones thinking about Paris. So was Lindsay Lohan as she stomped out of a fashion show in true celeb-style drama and rage all because Paris’ handbag line was one of the sponsors. Puh-leaze! When will these stars grow up?
And for those who really, truly have nothing to do, here is a picture of pregnant Jessica Alba leaving a nail salon. Oh boy!

Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon supposedly made the mutual decision to divorce, according to Ryan. I have an idea that Ryan might have wanted a divorce so he could feel free to pursue more celebrity booty, and Reese wanted a divorce because she was sick of him cheating on her. But he says that’s not so! Ryan denies pretty much all of his hook-ups. From Us Magazine:
“Ryan Phillippe wishes ex wife Reese Witherspoon happiness with her new beau Jake Gyllenhaal.
“He’s a good dude,” Phillippe said on The Howard Stern Show Thursday. “I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is.”
Phillippe described his 2007 divorce from Witherspoon as a “mutual” decision.
“Leading up to it, we had been spending so much time apart,” he explained. “That’s a huge part of it. There are so many obstacles.”
The Stop-Loss star, 33, spent much of the interview denying hook-ups with an array of famous women.
A make-out session with Britney Spears in May 2007? “Not true,” the actor said.
Hooking up with Ashlee Simpson in March 2007? “Again, not true,” Phillippe responded. “I stood next to her at a place called Les Deux, a club in Los Angeles.”
Sex with his I Know What You Did Last Summer costar Jennifer Love Hewitt? “I did not have sex with [her],” he said. “It did occur to me. She was very young and her mother was there all the time… but I was in a hot tub with her when she was 18.”
“I know Lindsay Lohan wanted you,” Stern pressed.
“Yeah,” Phillippe responded.
Phillippe conceded to Stern that Angelina Jolie is “probably” the hottest actress he’s filmed a love scene with.
“Is she very sexual?” Stern asked.
“I would think so, yeah,” Phillippe responded, though he also denied hooking up with the actress while they filmed 1998’s Playing By Heart.”
Howard Stern is such a skeez; it’s not a wonder he wanted Ryan Phillippe on his show. Two guys, that have no respect for women, sitting around, chatting it up. On the other hand, Ryan might be telling the truth about his affairs, and them being nonexistent. At least he’s putting on a happy face for Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Lots of break-ups and messy divorces going on in Hollywood these days. Okay, that can be said for any day. Some divorces just won’t die and those directly involved need to come to some decisions and agreements so the rest of us can stop choking on the whole thing. One such case is the divorce between Ryan Phillipe and Reese Witherspoon…you know, the one that happened two years ago.
Paul McCartney’s divorce from Heather Mills continues to haunt us as well since they cannot come to a decision in court. Come on, Heather, I don’t think anybody’s on your side!
Then we have the recent and sad breakup of Pink and Carey Hart. Truly a sad story, let’s just hope it doesn’t make us sick for years to come. 
Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper have been separated for some time and are now actually getting divorced. Well, maybe the news of this split will only last as long as their marriage…A total of four months. 
And lastly, there’s the barely famous duo Travis Barker, former Blink 182 drummer and Shanna Moakler, who was once a beauty queen. They’ve gotten divorced as well but I don’t think anyone noticed so talk probably won’t be around for long. 
January 22nd, 2008 — Jake Gyllenhaal, Reese Witherspoon
Gyllenspoon aren’t ready to pick out a silverware pattern just yet for their wedding registry. Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have been a couple for about a year now. Recently it was reported that Jake proposed on bended knee to Reese. Reese’s rep pooh-poohs the idea and says there’s not a shred of truth to it. Considering they denied their relationship for a long time, who knows what to believe.
Gyllenspoon were photographed this past weekend having breakfast together at In-N-Out Burger, along with her two children, Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4. They do make a cute couple, don’t you think?
August 6th, 2007 — Jake Gyllenhaal, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe
There are rumours circulating like cupcakes in a kindergarten classroom, that Reese Witherspoon, and her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, are working out the marital problems they had while they were together, for six years. Ryan did cheat on Reese while they were together, but, who knows… maybe he’s just misunderstood? Not likely, but we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. It had appeared until recently that Reese was dating Jake Gyllenhaal, but apparently they’re drifted apart. Page Six says:
“They met for lunch this week at the Votre Sante health-food restaurant, a regular Brentwood haunt for Reese on San Vicente. And they’re going on runs together around the Brentwood Country Club. Both are regular, dedicated runners. Running is a very healing, meditative thing, so maybe it will work its magic on them… Reese and Ryan are trying to work it out. They are still close.”
No photos were shot of the supposed lunch, so who knows… but Dotspotter claims that Page Six is “usually pretty legit”, so we’ll see. Ryan Phillippe’s representatives claimed it never happened, but, they also claimed that the two weren’t splitting up before they divorced. So… go figure.
April 26th, 2007 — Reese Witherspoon
It’s been reported that Reese Witherspoon has warned Jennifer Aniston to stay away from Jake Gyllenhaal.
When Jen and Witherspoon’s current boyfriend Gyllenhaal shared a special ‘moment’ (read intimate embrace and a prolonged kiss) at an award ceremony held earlier this month, Witherspoon went ballistic! 
A source told Woman’s Day magazine: “It wasn’t just a polite peck on the cheek. There was definitely feeling in that embrace. When Reese heard about it, she broke down in tears asking, ‘Why would he do that?’ She is very unhappy about it.”
The source further added, “She always thought Jake was intelligent and charming. That’s why she’s so stunned by the photographs of Jake and Jen. She’s really hurt by what she’s seen. They seem to be very explicit and everyone knows Jennifer’s looking for love.”
To me it seems like the game is on…with the 38 year old Jen who is currently single, and Reese who’s just been dating Jake for 2 months now. May the best woman win!

She is quoted, “Love is a beautiful thing. But you’ve got 50 things that come during the day, like driving the kids to school, picking up the in-laws at the airport and working on a script when one of the kids has a high fever.”

It could happen folks! Reese & Jake are getting set to film the CIA movie, ‘Rendition’ together. And if we have learned anything from our former favorite co-stars, Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt and Kate Hudson & Owen Wilson love CAN be found on the movie set.
I’m telling you folks..there’s a good chance these two could hook up (or at least make out once or twice). Just remember Hollywood Heartbreaker called it.

With all the media frenzy surrounding Britney Spears’ divorce news, Reese Witherspoon decided it would be a good time to sneak in her divorce papers. The “Walk the Line” actress is seeking joint custody of their two children, Ava and Deacon. She also is asking for “exlusive use to the couple’s home”.

TMZ has learned that Reese Witherspoon’s fortune is fair game as her marriage to Ryan Phillippe comes to an end– specifically, there is no prenup.
The financial consequences are enormous. Witherspoon now commands $29 million a movie, making her the highest paid actress in Hollywood. In 2005, Witherspoon raked in a total of $30 million for two movies, “Just Like Heaven” and “Walk the Line.”
Phillippe has been commanding around $2.5 million a film, making him bankable, but clearly not in his estranged wife’s league.
Under California law, without a prenup, earnings during a marriage are divided up 50/50.
Connected sources also tell TMZ on a scale of one to ten, one being a peaceful breakup and ten being Hasselhoff, the Witherspoon/Phillippe split is a three. And, we’re told, it will almost certainly stay peaceful, partly because of the children and partly because of the couple’s personalities.
We’re told there is no talk of reconciliation and that divorce papers are merely a matter of time.

Ryan & Reese at the “Flag of our Fathers” Party - October 16
Lots of hot stories are pouring out of the gossip mill on this break-up.
First, a PITNB readerreveals: ”Ryan Phillippe is in Austin right now filming a movie, I’ve seen Reese here once with Deacon. My friends and I went to Kenichi in downtown Austin on Tuesday night and sat 2 tables away from Phillippe and an extremely attractive blonde (not Reese). The couple had a partition placed around their table soon after they arrived but we could still see their legs intertwined under the table and as we left could see them clearly making out behind the partition.” Ooohh….so scandalous!
Also aFox 411 reporter had an eye witness account of a ‘knock down drag out fight’ between Ryan and Reese at the “Flags of our Fathers” party at the Soho Grand Hotel a couple of weeks ago.

It’sofficial! The couple formerly known as‘Reese Witherspoon and what’s her husband’s name again’ are DUNZO!The couple announced their plans to separate earlier today.
They released this statement:
“We are saddened to announce that Reese & Ryan have decided to formally separate. They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time.”
Although we can’t say we didn’t see it coming, it is still dissappointing. The couple was married 7 years..which in Hollywoodyears*is like almost 50. If they can’t make it..what hope is there for the rest of the celebrities who meet on the movie set, fall in love and get married way too young?
(Hollywood years is almost equivalent to dog years..whatever that is.)

Flags of Our Fathers star Ryan Phillippe hasn’t worked with wife Reese Witherspoon since 1999’s Cruel Intentions (they met on set), but, he says, it’s better that way.
“Sometimes I think it’s a little cleaner to, at least at this stage in our lives, keep that stuff separate,” he tells Interview magazine in its new issue. “I’d never write anything off completely, but I just feel like there’s something to be said for the individuality and mystery of doing things on your own.”
Phillippe, 32, says he’ll never get used to working away from Witherspoon and their kids Ava, 7, and Deacon, 3. “That’s a difficulty that I don’t know if I will ever totally come to terms with. But I think I commit sometimes even further to a role because it leaves me less time to think about those things that make me feel sad, like not being around my children.”
Immersing himself in his role, he says, serves as “a shield or a protective blanket that keeps me from having to deal with the reality. If I can’t see my kids, and I’m in another time zone, I really have to live and eat and breathe the work around the clock, because that keeps me sane.”
Asked if he distances himself from Witherspoon when they talk on the phone, he says, “At times, yes. But because she does the same work, she completely understands.”
The couple makes sure that if one parent is making a movie, the other will remain at home with the kids. “That’s one of the ways we keep the balance,” Phillippe says.
But, he admits, “There are obstacles in every family. It’s never going to be perfect you just try to do the best you can and to create a life that is positive and full for them.”
He’s got one tough critic, though. “Ava just turned 7 and just started first grade,” he says. “I’ve been down in Austin making this movie (an untitled film about Iraq directed by Kimberly Peirce), so I had the whole conversation with her where I’m getting guilted. She’s like, ‘You’ve missed my first day of school two years in a row.’ She gives me a harder time than Reese, by far.”
