It wasn’t until Jennifer Lopez was well into her pregnancy that everyone heard that she was indeed pregnant. After that, it seemed to be all anyone could talk about, with Lopez’s and hubby’s Marc Anthony’s face seeming to be everywhere. We all knew how much they were getting for first picture rights, where she was giving birth, we even knew what the hospital was doing to prepare for it! But then Jen had those babies and we haven’t heard much since. That is until the happy couple attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala on Saturday. From Gossip Girls,

“Taking a night away from parenting their newborn twins (Max and Emme), Lopez and Marc Anthony showed up at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the Costume Institute Gala last night.

Commenting on their absence from their babies, Anthony told press, “They’re missing us!” with Lopez adding that the new additions to their family are doing “fantastic!”

As for continuing her career in showbiz now that she’s a mommy, Jennifer told press, “I don’t know — and I like that, because my life has been so planned for so many years.”

Leave it to this diva couple to comment that their babies are missing them. Most parents actually talk about how they miss their kids, not the other way around. However it’s interesting that Jennifer has said that she doesn’t know if she’s going to go back to work.

Ashlee Simspon was on the Ellen DeGeneres show the other day, and still refuses to go either way on being pregnant. Even though, Ellen, known for her straightforward approach to celebrity interviews, asked her right upfront whether or not she was knocked up, Ashlee was mum. Well, not “mum” –you know what I mean. From InTouch:

“If you want to keep a secret, tell Ashlee Simpson! The engaged and presumably pregnant singer outfoxed Ellen DeGeneres on the host’s own talk show by sidestepping Ellen’s direct question, “Are you or are you not pregnant?” Ashlee replied, “Well, that has been going on for quite a while. That is something that I choose to personally not discuss.” The still skinny singer then stood up and asked the audience, “Do I look like I had 10 cheeseburgers or something? Because I don’t think I do!” She then promised Ellen that if she really is pregnant, she won’t pull a Jennifer Lopez or a Christina Aguilera by not confirming the pregnancy until it was blatantly obvious. “I swear,” said Ashlee. “I promise you that.”"

Am I the only one who thinks this magazine is giving Ashlee’s “outfox”ing way too much credit? Is this what thing have come to? Simpson didn’t do anything all that clever. She just refused to answer a question in a colorful way. I think, deep down, Ashlee Simpson doesn’t know if she’s pregnant or not either.

Usually, I’m not a big fan of the star nicknames such as Brangelina and Bennifer but in the case of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, there’s just something too cute about it. The two, that are now being called AshWentzday, have recently announced their engagement. Their statement showing on Perez Hilton’s site says,

“We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, but we wanted you to hear it straight from us.”

The rumour mills started churning this past February when Ashlee was seen sporting a diamond ring on that finger. At the time, she indicated that it was a promise ring and that he hadn’t asked her dad yet so they weren’t officially engaged. And how cute is that? In this day and age, it’s hard to find good old-fashioned values and the fact that a rocker boy feels that he needs to ask permission from the rocker chic’s dad is just awesome to me.

Perhaps that’s why her parents are so thrilled about the whole thing. And the secret to the two being so happy and in love? They’re best friends. There’s just something so feel-good about this story that I really hope these two can make it in the crazy land of Hollywood. The two have not set a date as of yet.

Push presents are becoming all the rage these days as fathers give the mother of their children presents for pushing the baby out. There are no set standards for these presents but let’s hope that the standard doesn’t become the same as those that Marc Anthony gave Jennifer Lopez for giving birth to their twins, Max and Emme. “Marc Anthony has already given his wife Jennifer Lopez a £150,000 8-carat diamond ring to celebrate the arrival of their twins. It seems the new dad wasn’t done gift giving yet - he just spent £1.3million ($2.6 million) on a pair of diamond earrings for the mother of his children, and had the babies’ initials engraved - one on each earring.”

This really shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone, I don’t think. I mean, after all, they did have hospital staff running drills and her hospital room was private and no entrance was allowed for weeks before the golden palace was ready for the star and her newborns. It should come as no shock that the couple are also looking to hire a live-in nanny so that the babies will have proper upbringing while their parents are away.

It’s nice that so soon after bringing their children into the world, they’re already planning on leaving them. It may sound harsh but some stars actually take their children into consideration and plan their schedules around them, not the other way around.

And would we expect anything else really? Having a diva as a mom and a superstar singer in his own right for a dad, I’m sure everyone expected it. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony went all out before their twins were even here. Reserving hospital rooms, and having the hospital staff perform test security runs told us all well in advance that a prince and princess were on their way.

It’s no question that they’re going to the extreme but are their expectations realistic? Not only did J. Lo listen to classical music all through her pregnancy, which is fairly normal, especially for new moms, she now has classical melodies piped into the babies’ room so they can relax. And if that doesn’t do the trick? She’s also hired a masseuse so that the little ones can become more relaxed from all that stress in their lives. I’ve heard of massage as a way of bonding but does it count if someone other than the parents are doing it?

Not only are Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony going to extremes to keep their babies’ psyche in check, they are also becoming clean freaks. And just like everything else, they can’t do it without going to the extreme. Celebedge reports,

“She is also paranoid about hygiene. The twins’ wing is totally sterile and all flowers and presents are stored in a separate area so they don’t contaminate the babies’ area. It may sound excessive but she only has her kids’ best interests at heart and wants to give them the start in life she never had. Earlier this week, it was claimed Jennifer is so terrified about the fraternal twins being exposed to germs she asks guests to use a special antiseptic hand lotion and don surgical masks before they enter the nursery.”

I just think this is laughable. Every mom becomes worried about the amount of life-threatening germs lurking in every corner of the house just waiting for their opportunity to attack. But they’re babies! Because their entire world revolves around bodily functions, it’s impossible to keep things spotless! It’s excusable for Lopez, who is a first-time mom but Anthony has children already. It appears common sense has left the building.

Jennifer Lopez, who announced at the end of a November concert,

“Marc and I are expecting a baby!”

according to People, should have mentioned that there were actually babies - plural. But no one found that out until this month when her father spilled the beans on a Spanish television program.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have finally had those babies that we all have been anxiously waiting for. Lopez gave birth to her baby girl at 12:12 am and her baby boy followed at 12:23 am. Baby girl weighed in at 5 lbs, 7 oz. and the one wrapped in blue weighed 6 lbs. exactly.

Lopez and hubby couldn’t be happier. People states,

“They’re the first children for Lopez, 38, and the fourth and fifth for Anthony, 39. The couple celebrated the impending births with a baby shower in New York on Jan. 19. “They were just beaming the entire time,” said one partygoer.”

No one seems to know the names of the precious new bundles yet. With J.Lo’s track record of keeping secrets (first with her marriage and then with her pregnancy,) we can probably expect to find out some time next year.

The price has been upped to six million. Well okay, not the actual baby, but the first picture of them anyway. And that’s only if you’re a celebrity as big as Jennifer Lopez. She has awarded the first darling pic to People Magazine, who will split the picture rights as well as the handsome sum with OK Magazine. Celebrity Baby Scoop reports,

“A spokesperson for the OK! magazine said: “It is fantastic for these international markets, and especially important with the immense strength the exclusive will bring to the new launch of OK! Spain.”

Christina Aguilera got 1.5 million from People for giving them that precious picture of her holding her son Max. When baby Shiloh was born, her parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got 4 million.

Lopez who is due on February 23 has recently had Long Island’s North Shore Medical Centre run “Code Pink” drills to make sure that her twins will be completely safe.

Irving Azoff, Jennifer Lopez’s manager, is reported to have quit on the singer because he had problems with Lopez’s husband, Marc Anthony. Celebedge reports,

“They had a heated phone conversation last week and he sent her a letter of resignation, telling her in blunt terms that she was unprofessional and he was not happy with Marc Anthony being allowed to constantly meddle in her work.”

It’s no secret that ever since joining together in holy matrimony in 2004, Anthony has always played a big role in her career. I guess Azoff didn’t see it as a husband just wanting what was best for his wife. And Lopez doesn’t seem to mind her hubby being so involved either.

But Lopez’s team of representatives doesn’t see it the same way that Azoff’s do. Celebedge reports from Jennifer’s side of things as well,

“She let him go on Friday with no drama. We know nothing about a letter.”

I’m tend to believe Lopez’s side of things because who would walk away from that grand percentage of Jennifer’s cash just because you can’t seem to form a bond with her husband?

Marc Anthony has done great things for Jennifer Lopez, other than being involved in her career. Since meeting, Lopez says she no longers considers herself “JLo.” Celebedge also reports her as saying,

“J.Lo was just a bit of fun that got really crazy. I’ve never really been anyone but Jennifer.”

Whatever you want to call her, she is on top of the world right now, manager or not. She is seven months pregnant, reportedly by way of IUV. And in two months, she will be giving birth to twins. One  boy, and one girl. How could you have it any other way for this picture-perfect family?

Jennifer Lopez is finally experiencing what it’s like to weigh as much as a chicken shed, while Marc Anthony looks even paler than usual lately. Ah, the joy of impending parenthood. Jennifer is due in just a few weeks, and they’re celebrating the new arrival with a baby shower. Naturally, I’m sure the party will be filled with gifts of ungodly prices. Would that I could have teethed on a solid gold pacifier! Damn you, upper middle class parents! Anyway, now that’s out of my system. From People:

“Jennifer Lopez celebrated her pregnancy with a baby shower Saturday on the rooftop of the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City.

The singer and her husband Marc Anthony both attended the afternoon shower, which was hosted by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Lopez’s producer on the 2002 film Maid in Manhattan.

Lopez, 38, “looked very pretty – and very pregnant,” according to an eyewitness, who saw the couple arrive flanked by bodyguards.

Among the guests were actress Leah Remini and designer Roberto Cavalli, who gifted Lopez with a pink leopard crib, according to a source. As for the décor, everything at the shower was blue and pink – and the room was covered with Swarovski crystal, said the source.

Last month the singer, who is due in a few weeks, was given matching pink and blue Tuni & G onesies from her sister Lynda Lopez. The pop star has been mum about whether she’s expecting twins, though multiple sources have told PEOPLE she’s having two bundles of joy.

The singer first announced she would be starting a family with her husband of three years, Marc Anthony, 39, last November after months of speculation.

“This is a special time in our lives,” Lopez told an audience during a concert in Miami, the final stop on the couple’s El Cantante tour.

Even as her baby bump grew increasingly noticeable with each performance, Lopez had avoided discussing her impending motherhood.

“We’re just getting used to the fact that we’ve told everybody” Lopez tells Harper’s Bazaar for its February issue.

When asked how long she is planning to take off from her career as a singer, actress and designer, Lopez says, “I don’t know – and I like that.”"

The rumour has been circulating that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony might be expecting twins. Oh happy day. Matching pop star babies. On the other hand, they might just be buying both blue and pink because they want the baby to appreciate all color schemes, or not impose on their child by enforcing sexual orientation from birth, by using the colors marked appropriate for the sex. Or, they may not know the sex of their child, because they prefer it to be a surprise. Who knows?

Apparently, those damn bloggers are at it again! Rubbing Mariah Carey and J-Lo’s good names in the dirt by saying that neither can stand each other, even including ‘false’ quotes from Mariah about how loathsome she is to share a stage with J-Lo. From People:

“Mariah Carey is fighting back against a new Internet report that suggests she is feuding with Jennifer Lopez.

The report, which has spread in the blogsphere Tuesday, includes a quote – supposedly from Carey – saying that she would rather appear on stage with a certain animal than ever share a stage with Lopez. The story, Carey tells PEOPLE. is “a complete untruth.”

Carey insists that the quote did not, and would not, come from her.

“This is just some Internet gossip and it’s pathetic that people actually entertain the thought that this could be real,” Carey adds. “This is another sad example of two strong women being pit against each other.”

Carey has a new album due out in the spring, shortly after Lopez is due to give birth.”

Ha. Well, you know, it being on the Internet automatically makes it not true, of course. I would put my money on it being true. No one can claim, not even Mother Theresa, that they’ve never said anything nasty about anyone else. And celebrities are particularly vicious. Mariah, no one buys your angel act. Not to mention, once again, they are both celebrities, which is -almost- like being real people. Did anyone notice Jennifer Lopez’s lack of a statement? Maybe because she can’t stand Mariah acting like she’s such an innocent little twat all the time.

Jennifer Lopez has finally decided that she wants to tell people she’s pregnant. Whoop-ti-do. Most of the known world knew this before she did. Terribly nosy society today, aren’t we? Her and Marc Anthony broke the news over J-Lo’s enormous baby belly, and everyone cheered and acted surprised, of course. From People:

“It’s perhaps America’s worst-kept secret – but after weeks of speculation, Jennifer Lopez finally confirmed her pregnancy Wednesday night during a Miami stop on her El Cantante Tour.

“Marc and I are expecting a baby!” the glowing singer announced to a shocked audience.

Just as surprised? Husband (and fellow tour headliner) Marc Anthony, who shrugged his shoulders, caressed his wife’s stomach, then leaned over and kissed her belly. “I did not expect her to say anything,” he told the crowd. (See a YouTube clip of the announcement below.)

“The whole arena went insane,” says one concert-goer. “It was awesome!”

Lopez thanked the audience for the applause and said, “We are happy, too.” She then turned sideways to reveal her profile and show off her very noticeable bump. She also playfully stuck out her tongue.”

Yeah, people were shocked. Where was this concert exactly? Somewhere that news doesn’t travel to, apparently. Oh well, everyone’s pregnant these days. It almost makes me want to run out and get knocked up. Almost.

Well, finally. It looked like J-Lo might have been pregnant, there was some speculation, but no one has really seriously come out and accused her… you know, because then we honest, and truth-oriented bloggers could get sued. Ahem. But yes, it’s true, J-Lo is pregnant! At least, that’s what TMZ says:

“Sources have confirmed to TMZ that Jennifer Lopez is pregnant!

In addition, we’re hearing that J.Lo and Marc Anthony are expecting twins. Double your pleasure!

J.Lo’s rep did not immediately return our call for comment.”

Not surprising, the representatives never return your calls, duh. Why is it that TMZ is always expecting these people to answer? Anyway, yes, J-Lo is pregnant, and possibly with twins. Those kids, if there are twins, will clumsily, but energetically dance out of J-Lo, and be singing off-key, as loud as they can. In other words, they’ll be just like their parents.

Supposedly there have been rumours about P Diddy being abusive, physically to his girlfriends. Kim Porter was rumoured to have left P Diddy because he was physically abusive as well. But look, isn’t she sweet? Kim has come right up front about the whole thing, to state that P Diddy never abused her. From Contact Music:

“Sean Combs’ ex-girlfriend has dismissed speculation she left the rap mogul because he was physically abusive. Model Kim Porter ended her on/off 10-year romance with Combs, who is the father of her three children, last month (Jul07). And while she accepts her ex has a ‘temper’, Porter insists he never once abused her. She says, ‘He has a little temper. Sometimes he talks to people in ways that they don’t like, but he’s never been physically abusive to me. We had our arguments like any couple, but that’s normal - I don’t see a problem with that. He’s not an abusive person.”

Kim has got to be either paid off by P Diddy’s representatives, or just about the nicest female walking the face of the Earth. She also confirmed in a later interview, that Sienna Miller never broke up their relationship. That Sienna and Combs were just “really good friends.” Kim even knows that P Diddy cheated on her, and is as complacent about it as ever. From The Bosh:

“’I will never sit here and say that Puffy - or any man - is 100 per cent faithful. I just don’t believe it. Some of you are, but I’m not going to sit here and say that I didn’t believe that he cheated on me. I would never say that. I’m aware that he’s cheated.”

Jesus, Kim. Lithium? I wish I could be that calm… unless she’s the type to go home, break everything in the house… then be all smiles in public. That could be scary. Kim might be a little conceited, though. Her thoughts on J-Lo and Diddy’s relationship were pretty straightforward. From The Bosh:

“’It was an embarrassment. I never thought it was real. I knew what was going on with him. Despite what you see in print and when the cameras are flashing, what’s going on in someone’s heart may be totally different. He was still in love with me. I never looked at their relationship as serious.”

Well, wow. Fairly snarky isn’t she? Still, as long as Kim and Diddy can keep it together, and raise their kids decently, without the constant court battles, and whatnot, more power to both of them.

JLo, whose career has been going slow off late, it seems, is going back to work to pay off her hubby, Marc Anthony’s tax bills. She is going to bring home a whopping $2mil for just one night’s work. The tab is reportedly, $1.2million in fees plus $800,000 for JLo and her support staff, for just 40 minutes of singing!

Andrei Melnichenko, a Russian tycoon and worth close to $5 billion, is throwing a birthday party for his wife. The 35-year-old banker will fly Lopez with her entourage to the U.K. to perfrom and entertain his model wife, Aleksandra, and 60 guests who will be attend her birthday bash.

“Andrei and Aleksandra are both very great fans of JLo, so Andrei put the call in and personally put the offer to [Lopez,]” a source told London’s Daily Mail.

For that kind of money, he’d expecting JLo to perform her songs in Russian for him and his guests or probably perform naked wearing one of those fur hats!

Jennifer Lopez has some great news and seems totally satisfied as a dream comes true. J Lo always wanted to sing a Spanish song, and her new album gives her this opportunity. The new album will be released in March 27 (USA) and it is produced by her husband, Mark Antony.

Her “Spanish” dream continues with her cinema activities. Jennifer Lopez plays and produces a film called “Bordertown” and also stars in movie “El cantante”. The second film is directed by Leon Ichaso. Lopez plays the wife of the singer Hector Lavoe) played by her real life husband (Mark Antony). Both films will open in summer.

Jennifer Lopez says about the movie: “It’s such a passion project, it took four years to make it,” and she adds “It’s a very exciting, passionate, intense movie of the tragic life of Hector Lavoe.”

…that besides Kevin Federline..he’s one of the ugliest luckiest men in Hollywood.
