April 18th, 2008 — Gwyneth Paltrow, Heidi Klum, Jamie Lynn Spears, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman
You often hear about fairytale romances and pregnancies in Hollywood and wonder how the stars do it. It seems their pregnant one day and having the baby the next with really no muss or fuss in between. But there are many stars walking around Tinseltown that are finding that pregnancy is not as glamorous as it sounds. Here are the stars that are having the most trouble with their pregnancies.
Gwyneth Paltrow has come out and said that she had post-partum depression. I don’t know, is she trying to make headlines with this one? Does she know what post-partum is? She says she didn’t know she had it until it was over but because the depression is an actual chemical imbalance, it can’t be over without getting proper treatment for it. So either a doctor told her that she had it and she still didn’t realize it or she had a case of the baby blues and is mistaking it for post-partum.
Nicole Kidman really is having trouble with her first pregnancy with her husband Keith Urban. Although her health and the baby’s health seem to be okay, Kidman is having a lot of trouble with morning sickness. Hopefully it will abate as she enters her second trimester but for right now, if you see her running, you best get out of the way!
Heidi Klum isn’t pregnant and therefore, not having any problems in that regard but her son Johan was looking quite sick as Heidi brought him in to the Beverly Hills Medical Center yesterday. Hopefully it’s just a cold bug and Heidi will be busy chasing him around the house in no time.
And Jamie Lynn Spears really is pregnant but apparently seems to be loving pregnancy! No problems here. Oh right, there is the fact that she’s 17.
March 2nd, 2008 — Heidi Klum, Seal
Heidi Klum and Seal actually look like a normal couple as they come out of Starbucks looking content and happy to just be having coffee together. I guess that’s what marriage and two kids does to you but it’s nice to see that sometimes that carries over into the Hollywood world as well.
Klum has some opinions about what type of product Victoria’s Secret should be coming out with as well. Gossip Girls says,
“She told press, “Victoria’s Secret should do men’s underwear - Seal would love that. Bloomers are just not cool, boxers are all right, but there are so many sexier things we could do for guys.”
So two magazines then? Victoria’s Secret and Victor’s Secret? I don’t know, Seal might be into it but I don’t know a lot of men that would subscribe to an underwear magazine. Especially because, as Klum went on to say herself,
“men should be men and women should be women.”
February 17th, 2008 — Britney Spears, Heidi Klum, Jamie Spears
Gotcha! But in all fairness, did it really surprise you all that much? Alright, so Britney Spears isn’t really going steady with her father in the romantic sense of the phrase. She and Jamie Spears were seen however, enjoying some father-daughter time during a dinner date. From Us Magazine:
“The singer, 26, and her father Jamie - whose co-conservatorship over her was recently extended until March 10 — hit Hollywood restaurant Social Hollywood shortly before 8 p.m.
She wore diamond earrings and a chocolate brown dress with spaghetti straps; her father carried her fur coat for her.
They spent more than two hours dining before calling it a night.
Though Spears‘ relationship with her father appears to be improving, one celeb says she wouldn’t mind taking over parenting duties for the troubled pop singer.
“She can call me and come live in our house with us for a couple of months,” Heidi Klum says in a new interview with German broadcaster ARD. “I would help set her straight.
“I am sorry when a young person gets thrown so off track,” Klum says, according to a transcript obtained by the Associated Press. “She has, of course, lived an extremely wild life.”"
It’s good to see that there’s at least some speculation about Britney’s family life improving. Right now, she can use all the support she can get. That’s not to say, let a bunch of people related to her take responsibility for her. It’s more along the lines of defending and helping her keep a on a solid path to doing better for herself.
