“A representative for Drew Barrymore has dismissed reports the actress is engaged to on/off lover Justin Long. The 34 year old sent gossips into a frenzy over the weekend by updating her page on social networking site Facebook to read “I’m Engaged”.

It came after she and Long stepped out on the red carpet together at both the Golden Globes and SAG Awards in January. But Barrymore’s representative insists the “He’s Just Not That Into You” co-stars are not set to wed, telling E! News the reports are “not true”.

Yeah, I just don’t get it. I truly would be thrilled if Drew and Justin ever got engaged but, I seriously think that Drew needs to get a grip sometimes. No wonder she scares guys off sometimes. Either they’re not engaged, and now Justin is left to wonder what the hell is going on in that head of hers – or, they are engaged but have agreed to keep it secret and she just blabbed it to the world. In which case, Justin would once again be left wondering what we’re all wondering what right now: what is Drew Barrymore thinking?

“It’s back to the bachelor pad for Justin Long! The “I’m a Mac” guy was booted from girlfriend Drew Barrymore’s four-bedroom Hollywood Hills home in early November, Star has learned.

And though the two are still dating for now, their relationship could be in danger if he doesn’t clean up. “Drew really had it with being Justin’s babysitter at home,” says a source. “And it’s not just that he made a mess, it’s his attitude. He gets mopey and is a big-time couch potato. She isn’t thrilled about seeing this side of him.”

Problems surfaced almost as soon as the pair — who first sparked in summer 2007, split a year later and reconnected last spring — began living together in August. “Drew hadn’t figured Justin to be a slob, but he started acting like a frat boy and left his stuff all over the place and never straightened up after himself,” says the source. “It drove her nuts!”

Drew, 34, finally had enough of the chaotic living situation. But she wasn’t quite ready to call it quits entirely. “She gently told Justin that things would be better between them if he moved back to his own place,” says the source. “Then it would be special when they’re together — they wouldn’t feel like an old married couple.”

The good news? Justin, 31, is trying to change his ways. “It was really the wake up call he needed,” says the source. “He knows Drew’s a great girl. He’s going to do everything he can to make her happy.”

I understand that Justin would do anything to make her happy. But, to think that you can move in with someone, not be able to work it out, and have one person need to leave, and still think that the relationship is going to last, is just plain wrong to me. Going forward is a huge deal. But if you need to go backward after that, it spells trouble. Sadly, if this rumor is true, I don’t think we’ll see these two go through another on-again phase. I think you can only try so many times. But I hope it’s not true. I love Drew and Justin together. And hopefully, they’re at home right now laughing off the current rumors.

“Drew Barrymore got into a huge public fight with boyfriend Justin Long – and the explosion could be the final blow to their romance.

Justin is fed up with the high-powered A-lister’s efforts to turn him into a big star, and it finally boiled over on the set of their new movie, say sources.

“Drew’s been pushing Justin way too hard,” an insider told The ENQUIRER.

“She’s determined to transform him into a leading man. But Justin is resisting. And they’re now beginning to clash in a way that is undoing their love.”

Eyewitnesses on the Manhattan set of Going the Distance were shocked by the pair’s recent confrontation.

“They were filming a scene when Drew stopped everything and decided to give Justin some acting suggestions,” confided the insider.

“He was not receptive. The discussion escalated – and soon it was getting louder and louder.”

Finally, Justin “huffed off to his trailer” with Drew trailing behind, said the insider.

“Once inside, they began yelling at each other!”

I am sure that both Drew and Justin realize that Justin is already a huge star. And that he made that name for himself, with no help from Drew. I can see Drew overstepping the boundaries and trying to give him some ‘help’ but I think that might just be a girlfriend thing. And if they really did go into his trailer and start yelling at each other? So what? Couples fight. Even famous ones. I think people need to get over it.

I wish these people would understand that if you want people to think that you’re not together, you should really stop being seen out together. And you should especially avoid being seen trying to avoid being seen together! But once again, Drew Barrymore and Justin Long defy their own denials that they have hooked back up when they were seen having dinner at Dos Caminos in New York City this week. What do you think? When I first saw this story, I have to admit, I thought that they probably were seeing each other again but didn’t really want to take it public again just yet. But a closer read shows me that there may be more to this whole Drew/Justin thing than we originally thought. Or at least that I did. From US,

“Despite public PDA earlier this week with ex Justin Long at the NYC premiere of her new HBO flick Grey Gardens, Drew Barrymore tells Usmagazine.com she is single.

“I love it! It’s great!” she told Us Thursday at the Los Angeles premiere of Grey Gardens. “I get to be who I am and do what I want and be with the people I love. I feel like I have everything, and I’m very fortunate, and it’s a very rich, fulfilling time in my life.”

On Friday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, she adds that she and Long – who are set to shoot the romantic comedy Going the Distance later this year – are just “good friends.”

“We’re doing a film this summer,” she says. “I guess people find it a little confusing. I totally understand. It seems like, ‘What is the deal with them?’ But we just adore each other. We’re in each other’s lives, and we’re friends, and we’re working together, and we have worked together.”

Would she be jealous if he began dating someone else? Nah. She wants him to meet “fantastic people because he’s a great guy, and he deserves the most happiness,” she says.

“And, for me, I am still just not ready for anything,” she continues. “I’ve spent two years really with a very different life than I’ve had before. My priorities have changed. I directed a film. I did this drama [Grey Gardens]. It was something I’ve never done anything like … and I don’t know how to maintain a relationship to be honest, while I’m doing all of that.”

So, what do I think is the real deal? I think that Drew and Justin probably aren’t actually dating. That being said, I think that at least one of the reasons for the breakup may have been that Drew really is just too busy and too screwed up about relationships (because oh lordy, she is!) to be with anyone right now. I think that the most recent affection between the two may be a case of lots of love still there but just a simple case of bad timing. Which makes this whole entire couple not working out just that much sadder.

“Drew, 34, and Justin, 30, walked into Hollywood hotspot Bar Marmont on Thurs., March 12, and spent the next few hours engaging in full-on PDA. A spywitness reveals to reports Life & Style, “They couldn’t get enough of each other. I don’t think they even noticed that there were other people in the room! In between kisses it was all smiles and laughs.”

The next night, the couple reunited at Ike sushi in Hollywood. “They sat at the sushi bar and ordered Sake and dinner. They were both in a great mood. They were smiling ear to ear the whole time, and laughing and looking they were so happy they were going to burst,” an eyewitness reveals. “Once they polished off the sake, Justin ordered a Sapporo beer and split it with Drew. Justin grabbed Drew’s hand and held it on his thigh. They looked in love. They finished their dinner with him springing for the tab, and walked out arm in arm.”

Personally, I love these two as a couple mostly because Drew seems very different when she’s with him. Just happier, which is something we often see with her, she just seems a bit more sparkly somehow when Justin’s by her side. And they just look so darn cute together!

“It’s like Cinderella fantasy,” the 34-year-old actress said of being a W cover model. “It’s like the cool kids club, too. I’m like a frickin’ paralysis dork victim! (points at her lip) I love pretending and I’m an old crazy woman and I love pretending that I love a sex life. (laughs)”

Maybe it’s one of those things that you need to read in its entirety or in context or something. I really hope so because God only knows what she’s trying to say. I used to be a big fan of Drew Barrymore but lately the girl has made me wonder. First there was the whole being back on the wagon rumor and her photos from the W spread really have her looking a lot like a cleaner, bit more sober, and a bit more sophisticated-in-a-trashy-kind-of-way Courtney Love than the cheerful, smiling Drew that we all fell in love with. Hopefully this is one of Drew’s many phases and it won’t be lasting too long.

“DREW Barrymore is loving being single – and available. The “He’s Just Not That Into You” star has been linked with several men recently, but had her eye on her “Music and Lyrics” co-star, Hugh Grant, Monday night. According to spies, Barrymore got very excited when the Brit walked into the Waverly Inn. “She squealed and jumped in his arms,” a spy said. The two then “made out,” but Barrymore showed up to the Beatrice Inn by herself later to hang with Clive Owen. Maybe Hugh’s just not that into her.”

The fact that she left  him and was seen hanging out with someone else the same night also tells me that this probably was nothing more than a friendly hello kiss. It’s also hard to picture Hugh and Drew just running into each other and then making out. Although it is Hugh and he’s good for public PDAs just about anytime, any place. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this one plays out to be anything more than what I think but it would be fun to see this happen.

“Is that hard?” DeGeneres, 51, asks Long, 30. “Now you’re on a press tour with someone you were in a movie with, in a relationship with and now you’re seeing each other. And if it’s not I’ve just made it more awkward.”

Long gamely replies, “Up until this point it’s been not awkward at all.”

The actor credits Barrymore, 33, with their continuing friendship. “She’s effortlessly charming and easy to be around,” he says. “She has this amazing ability to make anyone feel like at ease.”

The friendly exes were recently spotted slow-dancing and hugging at L.A. lounge h.wood following a He’s Just Not That Into You press junket.”

Justin Long seems to be one of those people that are just super, truly nice people at heart and you really can’t help but love him. I loved him and Drew together but the fact that they can remain so close even after a breakup just shows that they are both people full of not only great comedy, but great class as well.

I loved Drew and Justin together and I was shocked and saddened when they broke up but the fact that she has moved on to someone as awesome as Jason Segel really does help make it better for me. He is hysterical and I can imagine that these two would be so much fun together! Whoever she’s with, I hope the ‘back on the wagon’ rumors were just that and that Drew has realized at this phase in the game that men just aren’t worth ruining your life over.

“In her book, McCormick, now 52, tells how she got deeper and deeper into Hollywood’s drug scene – even after a powerful producer threatened to stop her working in Tinseltown.

“I sought refuge in seemingly glamorous cocaine dens above Hollywood. I thought I would find answers there, while in reality I was simply running farther from myself. From there, I spiralled downward on a path of self-destruction that cost me my career and very nearly my life,” she writes.

“Over the years I battled drug addiction and bulimia. I was treated in a psych ward, went in and out of rehab, and looked to God for answers.”

McCormick says she traded sex for drugs with a Hollywood cocaine dealer who later went to jail, and once allowed an older man she met at the Playboy Mansion to videotape her naked in exchange for drugs.

She began to “free-base” cocaine with a music-industry boyfriend and the two once spent a week binging in a hotel room with a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door.

On one occasion, she took amyl nitrate pills, or “poppers”, from a bowl on the coffee table at a party at Sammy Davis Jr’s Los Angeles home.

On another, she turned up to an audition with Steven Spielberg for “Raiders of the Lost Ark” completely “messed up” after being awake for several days on drugs. He politely offered her an orange and did not give her the part.”

I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to be a kid and growing up in those kinds of surroundings. Lord knows that many child actors (think Drew Barrymore) that have grown up in that environment have gone on to battle some pretty serious substance abuse problems and I think it’s so great that she has come out with a book talking about it all. Not because I’m going to rush out and buy it or because I’m extremely interested in a behind-the-scenes look at her life or life on the set of The Brady Bunch but because I can only assume that the whole entire process was so therapeutic for her and was truly a good thing. I’m not putting this on the shelf with the rest of the ‘total exploitation’ books out there, such as Rosie O’Donnell’s Celebrity Detox, which is just filled with vile, hateful misrepresentations and I’m sure was in no way therapeutic but only leads to a more destructive path. I am very happy for Maureen that she has been able to come through it all and still maintain her dignity and grace that she has always possessed. She claims that she was never in any way like Marsha Brady but I think in the way of always being able to show class, this has definitely brought her one step closer.

It seems that Naomi Campbellmay have found a special someone. His name is Vladislav Doronin and he’s a billionaire. Recently she has been quoted as saying that she wants babies and she doesn’t need a baby daddy to do it. Hmm…perhaps she’s found someone after all. Here’s hoping that he’s also on the baby train. Or into creating huge public scenes by hitting innocent bystanders. I mean, you have to have something in common

Michelle Williams has also been rumored to have started something with Spike Jonze. I’m very happy for her and I hope it works out but Jonze doesn’t have the best track record. He once dated Drew Barrymore, another one of Drew’s relationships that ended in heartache and he was also married at one time to Sofia Coppola.

And who doesn’t love Ryan Gosling with Rachel McAdams? These two were very hot and heavy during the filming of The Notebook, in which they both starred. At the time, things progressed quickly and there was talk of a wedding even when things turned suddenly sour and the two split up. Now it seems they may be back together as Rachel was at the Green Room Lounge on Tuesday. Ryan was deejaying and Rachel was there to support him.

Competing for the title of “Most Pathetic Reunion EVER!” is Paula Abdul and JT Torregiani. Not only did these two break up in April and practically no one noticed but they are now getting back together. That’s not the pathetic part. Apparently, Paula baby is perfectly content to just sit around and wait until men have time for her. That seems to be the case here as the reason for their breakup was that JT didn’t have time for any love interests as he opened up his new business venture, Beso. Now that that is said and done, he wants to date Paula again and she has accepted. PUH-THA-TIC!!!

This has been the summer of hot romances and unexpected break-ups. First Drew Barrymore and Justin Long have a whirlwind romance that seems to be unbreakable and they suddenly break up and now Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong have ended their intense summer romance for reasons that remain unknown. “The couple, who had been dating for about three months, have reportedly split. They were both at the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Summit in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend, and that’s where said breakup supposedly took place.

I really thought that after having both their fair share of heartache, this might really have been it for both of them. It’s sad to see such a great relationship split up after you see them interacting with each other’s family and kids so well. Not to mention that Kate and Lance are both just so darn cute you just wanna pinch their cheeks! It’s hard to swallow that such great couples break up and people like Paris and Benji are still together!

“Until recently, Barrymore and Long had planned to wed – that is until booze resumed its hold on the former child star.

“Justin got tired of having to help Drew to the car at the end of the night,” an insider told The ENQUIRER.

“He felt that Drew’s ‘work hard, play hard’ attitude was more than he could take.”

Drew – who began using drugs and alcohol as a child and did stints in rehab as a teen – now believes she has control over her drinking, the insider divulged.

“Justin gently suggested to Drew that they both slow down on the drinking, and she didn’t take it well,” said the insider.

“Her inability to accept Justin’s advice became the deal breaker.”

I do very much hope that this story isn’t true but honestly, I hope Drew can sort out whatever it is that she’s going through and I still think that it’s just too bad it didn’t work out with Justin. The two were just so cute together I could barely stand it! Justin however, not even two weeks after their split has been seen getting very cozy with Kirsten Dunst, another one of my faves when it comes to actresses.

“Drew Barrymore and the “Apple Mac Commercial Guy” have called it quits. A rep announced the former child star’s split from actor Justin Long on Monday.

“They are still friends,” Barrymore’s publicist tells Us Magazine.

Drew and Justin had been dating since August 2007.”

It really is sort of sad because these two just seemed so perfect together! Hopefully Drew’s ship will soon come in and she finds what she’s looking for. And Justin? I’m pretty sure he’ll be fine.

“She is reported to have demanded that Jennifer Connelly, her costar in the upcoming film He’s Just not That Into You, not be on the cover of Marie Claire with her. Seems she doesn’t mind Drew Barrymore and Ginnifer Goodwin being pictured, but she doesn’t want Jen C. anywhere near it.”

This could definitely be seen as jealousy on Ms. Aniston’s part and adds fuel to the rumors that she is secretly still incredibly jealous of Angelina Jolie. I brush it off as false reporting.

“Her hot and heavy relationship with Justin Long may have helped her physique as well. A friend of Drew’s told press, “She loves being in love and this is the real thing with Justin. Drew says they are so compatible. So with the new diet, the exercise and feeling like that about another person, she thinks her body feels so great that the pounds just dropped off.”

Drew apparently isn’t so good in the kitchen and so she frequents many different hot spots in L.A. that offer lean, healthy choices and she was seen on Sunday leaving a yoga class, with mat in tow. I love Drew Barrymore and one of the reasons for that is that she seems like a true person. She’s not full of herself in interviews, and although she’s thin, she’s not a size zero like most of her peers in Tinseltown. And I don’t think you’ll ever find anyone as honest about love and who talks about it with the giddiness that is usually reserved for high school girls.

It’s nice to see a Hollywood actress who can gush about being in love and also take care of themselves properly to maintain a weight they’re comfortable with. With the yoga classes and that ultimate love glow, Drew has never looked better!

“Drew Barrymore celebrated her 33rd birthday in Mexico this past week with beau Justin Long.

Showing off her sexy bikini bod, Barrymore and Long, 29, frolicked in the water, took hand-in-hand strolls along the beach and sipped on fruity drinks. Long also went kayaking.

“My cheeks hurt, I’m so happy,” Barrymore said of their romance in the March issue of Vogue. Long also told the magazine, “She makes my cheeks hurt, too.”

Throughout the interview, she referred to Long as her “gentleman caller.” The two — who recently shot the comedy He’s Just Not That Into You – knew each other for seven years before they began dating, Vogue reports.

Of Barrymore, Long — who has told Usmagazine.com he feels “blessed” since meeting her — gushed to Vogue, “Beauty and light, and she shines it on everybody who comes into contact with her.”"

That’s cute. I still kind of miss the Tom Green and Drew Barrymore couple though. Tom Green is just so… weird. I mean, who could resist? Then again, I’m one of those minority freaks out there who think Steve Buscemi is just to die for sexy. Yeah, I know; it’s crazy.

The only thing cuter than these two is seeing them together. Celebitchy reports,

And although their sentiments about each other may have us gagging over how sickly sweet it is, it’s nice that there are some Hollywood celebs that are just going ga-ga over each other.

They hid their relationship for awhile and decided to start declaring their love to the world in January this year. Now you can catch all the giggling, hand-holding, and kissing for yourself while they’re putting themselves right out there. Not only am I happy for the two, I’m also just happy that Drew is no longer with that twit Tom Green.
