August 7th, 2008 — Carey Hart, Charlie Sheen, Chris Robinson, Denise Richards, Dixie Chicks, Emily Robison, Guy Ritchie, Hulk Hogan, Kate Hudson, Lance Armstrong, Linda Marie Bollea, Madonna, Morgan Freeman, Nick Boella, Pink
It seems that the world of hookups and breakups in Hollywood has been busy focusing on the breakup side of things. Just when people are starting to get over the Madonna/Guy Ritchie drama, all kinds of celebrities are coming out of the woodwork announcing separations and divorces. Others who have recently joined the list of famous divorcees are speaking about their recent turn of events. And it’s not all what you would think.
Perhaps the only divorce that may be as ugly as the one between Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen is the one between Hulk Hogan and wife, Linda Boella. Hogan himself was surprised in November when she filed for divorce and from there it turned into the makings of a bad accident that you have to watch. Quite literally as well since the family started to fall apart shortly after Nick’s accident. Now Hulk Hogan has gone public saying that he wished he was still with his wife, even though she has been sleeping with a much younger man. This is one messed up family and I lost the little respect I had for Hogan after remarks he made in regards to Nick’s accident.
And one divorcee who has absolutely no desire to be reunited with her ex is Pink. In her latest video she gladly erases all memories of her former marriage by chainsawing through a heart carved onto a tree with the name of her and ex, Carey Hart. It’s subtle as the tree uses her first name but for all her fans it’s there and there’s also the posting she’s put on her blog where she goes into a bit more detail over who, shortly after her divorce, she called her “best friend.”
And three women who have seen their fare share of heartache are the Dixie Chicks. The recent divorce of singer Emily Robison isn’t the first divorce that the Chicks have seen during their time together of over ten years but it’s just as heartbreaking. I suppose the good news is that there’s bound to be more great Chick material coming out of it!
And just on the heels of his car accident on Sunday night, Morgan Freeman has also announced that he is in the middle of divorce proceedings. The actor has been separated from his wife since 2007 but are now moving proceedings along. Man, what a past few months it’s been for him! On news of his health, he appears to be doing much better!
Kate Hudson is one divorcee who knows that she will be forever tied to her ex, Chris Robinson due to
the fact that they share their four-year old son, Ryder. There were reports earlier this week that she was caught kissing him directly after her relationship with Lance Armstrong but nothing has seemed to come from that. As a side note, I think normally she’s stunning but her on the cover of W just looks weird. Sort of superhero/comic-booky. It’s not right though.
March 8th, 2008 — Butch Walker, Carey Hart, Pink
Pink only recently split with her husband, Carey Hart, and both claimed that the union was not in their best interests, that it just wasn’t working out, bla bla bla, and they decided to end it mutually. I love how marriage means absolutely nothing anymore. Why do we even do it? Anyway, it didn’t take long for the heart-broken Pink to find herself a new man to drag around town with her. From InTouch:
“Less than a month after separating from husband Carey Hart, Pink got cozy with a new guy. The “Stupid Girls” singer spent March 3 celebrating her newfound single status at the Key Club in West Hollywood. Pink really got the party started when she jumped on stage to join rockers Metal Skool, where according to a witness, “she sang laying on the floor because she seemed too drunk to stand.” That same night, Pink was spotted getting quite cozy with a mystery man in the club’s VIP area. “They were making out and looking very together,” the witness adds. Now, In Touch can reveal that Pink’s frisky friend is rocker Butch Walker of the Butch Walker & the Let’s-Go-Out-Tonites! band. He’s also a producer, songwriter and former judge on Rock Star Supernova. It turns out Butch has a history with the rocker: He’s written songs for her previous albums.”
I wonder if Pink chose a man that was professionally inferior to her because she wanted someone she could just dominate for a while. Not that Pink seems like a ball breaker or anything; it just seems like most women will choose a weaker man on the rebound. It’s like a healing instinct.
February 20th, 2008 — Carey Hart, Pink
Pink, who’s real name is Alecia Beth Moore, and her husband Carey Hart have decided to file for divorce. The two were married in January of 2006 and now they find that not ever being around for each other is too much to take. While Pink is out touring the world and her promoting her albums, the newest being I’m Not Dead, Hart is busy himself being a motocross champion, running a Las Vegas tattoo parlour, and thinking of opening another in Mexico.
Celebrity Scandals documented a message that Pink left on her own website. It said,
“Hi everybody. I wanted to reach out personally to all my fans/friends out there in the world. First and foremost, thank-you for all of your support and love, it means a lot to me right now. The most important thing for you all to know, is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This break up is not about cheating, anger, or fighting…He is a good man, so please support him as well. One never knows the future, but mine and Careys’ just might involve beach babies and sunshine one day. Just not right now.”
I think this is one of those stories that is truly a sad Hollywood break-up. They both obviously still mean a lot to each other but the fact that their lives take them in different directions has split them appart.
September 27th, 2007 — Carey Hart, Divorce, Pink
Could it be possible that Pink’s marriage is over after a mere 21 months? Pink and moto-cross star Carey Hart haven’t even made it to the two-year mark, but sources close to the couple say that it is over, kaput, DUNZO.
From Us Weekly:
“Pink was out with a table full of friends and telling them that her and Carey just wasn’t working anymore.
She told them, ‘We’re just not getting along anymore. We each need our space. We need our distance. It’s not like it was when we first started.’ “
A friend of Carey’s confirmed the problems, saying:
“Carey is tired of her always accusing him of cheating, and he’s fed up with the constant arguing. He says
he cannot deal with her anymore. It’s his decision to put an end to this.
They are 100 per cent getting a divorce.”
However, a rep for Pink called the rumors “100 percent bullsh*t” and Carey himself, when asked last month about his relationship with Pink, said “everything’s fine.”
So which is it? Are they really on the rocks, or are Pink and Carey just another victim of the pressures of being a celebrity couple? Honestly, does anyone even care? Celebrities split up all the time; these two haven’t been together long enough to be considered one of those couples everyone thought would make it, and they’ve managed to stay together long enough to avoid being put on any Shortest Hollywood Marriages lists.
