Sorry, but seriously, “WTF?” had to be in the title. WTF is J.K. Rowling even talking about? Children around the world right now are standing in awe and disbelief as conservative parents burn their Harry Potter series in the front yard. What on Earth was this woman even thinking? Is she serious? Is it a media ploy? It worked. The author literally, told a young fan, that Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, icon to children on a global scale, is gay. What, in the name of all that is innocent and non-diluted by recockulous political statements, is wrong with this woman? From People:
“It was a little late for National Coming Out Day, but a huge revelation nonetheless: Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling revealed Friday night that one of her main characters, Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore, is gay.
The Associated Press reports that during a Q&A session with audience members, a young fan asked if Dumbledore finds true love.
“Dumbledore is gay,” the author, 42, responded, prompting gasps and applause.
Rowling said Dumbledore was infatuated with rival Gellert Grindelwald, who was later offed in a battle between the good and bad wizards.
“Falling in love can blind us to an extent,” Rowling said of Dumbledore’s feelings, adding that Dumbledore was “horribly, terribly let down” and that his love was a “great tragedy.”"
That’s great you know, Gay Support, yay, and all. But why the hell should a children’s book have to include some idiotic political message? The average reader for this series, is too young to even know what homosexuality is, or what their sexual organs are even for. J.K. Rowling, get back on the lithium, please. The people who applauded to that statement should be slapped repeatedly with hardcover copies of their autographed books.
