Details on Carrie’s Wedding

Ever since the news that Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher got engaged broke, we really haven’t heard too much about the couple. Carrie included some words for Mike on her newest album, and Mike took a lot of flack for not having his mind on the game, but instead on his new fiance. But both of those things were some time ago and still, hardly news-worthy. But now, we get a few more details on what the wedding will be like. Or rather, what Carrie will look like.

There’s still no word on when the nuptials will take placebut, seeing as how Carrie is having her gown custom-made and it’s just starting to be made, I don’t think it’s going to be any time soon. It sounds beautiful though, and very “Carrie.” From People,

“Carrie Underwood and her fiancé, NHL hockey player Mike Fisher have been busy planning their nuptials since getting engaged in late December. And while the Grammy-winning country singer’s fans have been lapping up every detail–including her preference of cupcakes over traditional wedding cake, and her dog Ace as the ring bearer–we’ve all been waiting for her to spill on “The Dress”. “It’s in the works,” the bride-to-be told reporters at the Pedigree Adoption Drive yesterday at the Bideawee animal shelter in NYC. “It’s really pretty. It’s very in the beginning stages and it’s very me. It’s just girly and pretty, and it’s simple and glamorous at the same time.” Still yet tobe determined is the exact wedding date, but it seems like the happy couple is simply enjoying being engaged.”

Of course she had to pick her designer! You wouldn’t expect Ms. Underwood to wear off the rack, now would you? It sounds like it’s going to be a very grand affair though. I certainly hope that they weren’t planning on pulling this one over on the paparazzi because that could be easier said than done. What I’m waiting for is the invitations to go out. I still haven’t gotten mine.
