Katherine Heigl and Hubby to Adopt Korean Child

Yay!! This is news that is very, very exciting to me! Katherine Heigl, the best of all the cast on Grey’s Anatomy, is adopting a little girl from Korea! Heigl has said for awhile now that when her and her husband, Josh Kelley are ready to have a baby that they would be going to Korea to find a baby to bring home. This falls right in line with the way she was brought up, as her sister is Korean and was adopted into her family. And, the little girl is going to be home with her new parents very soon, as the adoption will be finalized this week. From Star,

“Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley have a baby on the way — from Korea!
The Grey’s Anatomy star announced that she and her hubby — who married in Dec. 2007 — are adopting a special-needs girl from the same country from which Katherine’s sister was adopted.

The adoption is expected to be finalized this week, reports Radar Online.

“It is a little girl and she’ll be 10 months at the end this month,” Katherine said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in an episode airing Friday. “Her name is Naleigh. Well, I am naming her after my mother and sister — Nancy, Leigh. So we call her Naleigh.”

Adding with a laugh: ” I wanted to tell everybody so you don’t think I stole a Korean baby.”

I also love, love, love the fact that she is combining the names of her mother and sister to give the little girl the name of Naleigh. Congratulations, Katherine and Josh! I am so, so happy for you!
