After Chris Brown beat the crap out of Rihanna, Oprah Winfrey stepped in. Oprah did a show shortly after the beating about domestic abuse and the horrors that it carries. She also mentioned Chris and Rihanna specifically, and gave Rihanna the message to get out because “he will hit you again.” Harsh words. But, very well deserved and needed. At the time, it looked like Rihanna was going to get back together with Chris. And someone – anyone – needed to try and stop her. And that’s exactly what Oprah did. But apparently, while the Queen of Daytime was trying to help, Chris Brown became enraged. Well, it gives him a bad rep, you know. According to Chris, Oprah should have been more willing to help both of them, instead of focusing on Rihanna. I wonder how he wants Oprah to help him. I highly doubt that Oprah’s in the habit of giving assault lessons. From Daily Blabber,
“The singer told People.com that he didn’t appreciate the fact that Oprah, motivated by the incident in which he beat up Rihanna, put on a show about domestic abuse.
“I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face,” he said.
“I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, ‘OK, I’m going to help both of these people out.'”
Chris Brown is desperately hoping that this whole abuse thing gets swept under the carpet. Not only that but he’s actually trying to make himself appear more and more like a victim every day. First, he tells Larry King that he ‘couldn’t believe’ what happened. Really?!? Because YOU did it! Now he wants Oprah to help him out! What exactly does Chris Brown need help with? Damage control? Too little too late. I think that Chris needs to man up and stop finding reasons why he beat Rihanna. And stop trying to find people that will sympathize with him. I hope he never gets help. And I hope that Oprah does a show called, “Stay Away from Chris Brown.”
