One of the most self-destructive couples on the planet have started talking to each other again. Even after it seemed as though they might finally be over for good. Of course, when we’re talking self-destruction, we can only be talking about Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil. Amy had said several times during her extended vacation in St. Lucia that she knew Blake was bad for her. And she even spent some time enjoying the local boys, which seemed to confirm that her mind really was off Blakey-Poo once and for all. And earlier this summer Blake had also said that he was done with Amy for good.
But now, Amy’s ended up back in a bar trying to drink her worries away and Blake is talking about how he wants another chance to do things right with his soon-to-be ex-wife. Of course, Amy’s parents are horrified over this and it seems that her mom can’t even walk because she’s so distraught. From Celebrity Dirty Laundry,
“Amy Winehouse was comforted in a North London pub by reality TV star David Gest and Towers of London bassist Kristian Marr as she burst into tears over her troubled relationship with Blake this week.
A source said: “A few drinks did nothing to cheer her up and she ended up sobbing her eyes out in the pub. She was inconsolable. “David put his arm around her to try and soothe her. But she was still crying when they decided to call it a night and get her taxi.”
At the weekend, ex-convict Blake – who is currently in rehab – spoke candidly about how he still loves his soon to be ex-wife and is hopeful they will reunite. He said: “Maybe this time we can do everything properly and not mess it up. She is looking beautiful and healthy now and it reminds me of the old Amy. She has been wearing my engagement ring and it meant an awful lot.”
The‘Back to Black ’ singer’s father Mitch – who blames Blake, 27, for his daughter’s problems with heroin and crack cocaine – is terrified Amy will descend back into drug abuse now she is in contact with him again. The 25-year-old songstress has been in St. Lucia for most of the year trying to get her life back on track. A source said: “Mitch told a pal, ‘Seven months of good work is all unravelling because of Blake. What is he doing to her? Why can’t he leave her alone?’ ”
Amy’s mother Janis is struggling to cope with the possibility of a reunion so much she can “hardly walk”. A source said: “Janis is in poor health and the thought of Amy getting back together with Blake has made her very ill. She lost her own mother Esther only last month, so the stress is talking its toll. She can hardly walk. “She’s begging Amy not to see Blake again after all the progress she has made this year.”
Blake started divorce proceedings from inside prison – where he was serving a 27-month sentence for perverting the course of justice and grievous bodily harm – in January after Amy was pictured with other men while on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Their separation is due to be legally finalised on August 28.”
I don’t think these two will ever be really over. I think that they will always end up together, doing drugs and heading towards an even shorter life every day that they are together. And if I were Amy’s mom I think that I might just throw my hands up about the whole thing. Obviously, her mom’s smart enough to realize that when these two get together, it’s just bad news. And it makes me wonder if Amy’s mom has ever given her an ultimatum. Or at least said that Blake would never be welcome in her house. It surprises me some that the distress it’s causing her mom is what worries me the most. But really, Amy and Blake are both grown adults who are free to make their own choices. No matter how stupid those choices are. But Amy’s mom doesn’t really get a say. And now it seems she doesn’t even get a say about her own health because these two idiots are ruining it for her. And it bugs me that Amy seems to not care in the least. Hopefully she was just spilling tears over her ended marriage. And that she’s not thinking about reuniting with Blake. And btw, I wonder if Amy realizes that she’s not supposed to be drinking either.
