It’s only May and already this year has seen far too many tragedies occurring to children of celebrities. The world lost John Travolta’s son Jett in January and now after a very sad accident Mike Tyson has also lost his daughter. Exodus Tyson got tangled up in a treadmill cord yesterday morning and just over 24 hours later, she was pronounced dead this morning. From People,
“Boxing champ Mike Tyson’s 4-year-old daughter Exodus died Tuesday in a Phoenix hospital after accidentally getting her neck wrapped in a cord from an exercise machine at home.
“We are grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from all over the world,” Tyson says in a statment. “There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.”
The child, who had been on life support, was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center, says Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Hill.”
I can’t imagine how hard this kind of loss would be for a family to endure. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mike Tyson and his family and we only hope that they can find some way to recover from this.
