I have lost more and more respect for Lance Armstrong ever since his split from Sheryl Crow. It wasn’t the actual split that bothered me but he just seemed to become a worse person once he left her. His attitude seemed to have changed and he seemed to be more interested in himself than anybody else. Then it comes out after he and Kate Hudson broke up that he knocked up some woman that he had been dating for awhile. Now, knocking people up generally is not a good thing but when you turn around a few short months later and tell the world publicly that you broke up with an ex because she wanted kids and you didn’t?!? That’s really not good!
That’s what Lance Armstrong has recently said about Sheryl Crow, blaming that breakup on her ‘biological clock.’ Now, that’s not too much of a sexist thing to say. No, I don’t like that. A woman can want kids when you don’t and you don’t need to say that you were ‘up against her biological clock.’ From Pop Crunch,
“Sheryl Crow’s “biological clock” caused the singer’s 2006 split from cyclist Lance Armstrong, the Tour de France champ reveals in an upcoming biography. Lance, which was written by John Wilcockson, arrives on booksellers’ shelves this summer.
Lance began dating the “Soak Up The Sun” hitmaker his divorce from Kristin Richards — the mother of his three children — in September 2003. Lance and Sheryl announced their engagement in 2005 only to breakup the next year.
“She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that, but I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I’d just had kids [Luke, Grace and Bella],” Lance says in the book. “Yet we’re up against her biological clock — that pressure is what cracked it.”
So now, 3 years later, Lance is ‘thrilled’ that he’s going to become a dad for the fourth time with this knocked up lady and Sheryl Crow has adopted a son, Wyatt Steven. Hmm…apparently her biological clock had nothing to do with it since she ended up adopting.
