One of the things that has always bothered me so much about Brangelina is the fact that they think they are so much better than everyone else. They have a gazillion kids, that they make sure all get one-on-one quality time, and they’re able to do it while making bazillion dollar movies and don’t forget how much they give back and the wonderful, wonderful work that they do for charity. It all makes me want to vomit. Now it seems their pretty little picture is all unraveling and it seems that some of their children don’t really like being dragged around the entire world and not having any real friends. Hmm…who could have possibly foreseen something like this happen? Certainly not their parents, who have thought up to this point that their children are robots who are happy to lead the lives that their parents do. From Gossip Rocks,
“‘Dad, when can we stay in one place? I’m getting sick of all this moving.’ Those were Maddox Jolie-Pitt’s startling words to his famous father Brad Pitt last week. Brad and his partner Angelina Jolie had just arrived in LA with Maddox and his siblings – Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne – in tow. However, they didn’t stay in California for long.
The Jolie-Pitt clan are now in New York where they’ve taken a lease on a $60 million estate. It’s just one more stop in what Brad calls ‘the Jolie-Pitts’ nomadic but awesome lifestyle’. It’s also where they’ll be living for the months to come while Angelina makes a movie called Edwin A. Salt. In fact, the family has owned or rented properties in three different countries in the past year alone.
However, Maddox’s question has caused Brad to wonder how much longer they can keep it up. ‘I think it has to end soon,’ Brad tells friends. ‘We know we can’t keep dragging our kids all over the world. When they were younger, it was easier. But now the boys are getting older and it’s getting more complex.’
Indeed, nothing is more important to Brad, 45, and Angelina, 33, than their children. Thus, the travelling required of these two busy movie stars as they pursue their careers and humanitarian efforts has raised a number of questions.
For instance, should their kids have more friends? Certainly, Maddox, seven, and Pax, five, have very few. They’re at an age where they should be bonding and socialising with other youngsters at school, yet that’s impossible because they’re never in the same place for long. Brad and Angelina have found a temporary solution to the problem.
‘With Dad’s help, Maddox and Pax are communicating by internet camera with friends they’ve made in different countries,’ a source reveals. ‘It’s pretty awesome, the way you can communicate with the internet,’ Brad has said. ‘I’m terrible at it, though. I’m almost computer illiterate. It’s not ideal for kids… but we’re sort of dabbling in it. Another source says: ‘The boys are very personable. They’re funny. They’re smart, and they make friends easily – but they’re never around long enough to see those friendships blossom. Brad and Angelina want that to change.’”
The entire interview can be read here and it continues on to talk about the trouble that Brangelina is also having with the kids’ schooling. I guess so, when you can’t just plant yourself down somewhere. Don’t get me wrong, every family has issues that come up that you may not have foreseen and I’m glad to hear that the two are trying to make it right for their kids. What I’m most pleased about in this article is that Brad and Angelina finally, finally, look like somewhat normal people who have normal problems sometimes and who have to stop and admit that their life may not be as perfect and effortless as they sometimes make it seem.
