Does Samantha Ronson have an Eating Disorder?

Lindsay Lohan took her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this past weekend for what turned out to be ‘nothing serious.’ Sam later then blogged to her fans about how she was just exhausted from working too much but it had already been reported that part of the reason for her short stay may have been due to an eating disorder. This is what BumpShack wrote about the trip,

“Linday Lohan had to take lover Samantha Ronson to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. this weekend but it was nothing life threatening and Samantha is already out and doing relatively well, according to TMZ. Actually Sam’s sudden hospital visit might have something to do with an eating disorder, exhaustion and depression.

“She [Samantha Ronson] was calling around. She knew she had done something wrong,” the friend tells Life & Style. Early this morning, doctors were immediately called to the house. “She’s been suffering from depression and from lack of food and sleep. Gal pal Lindsay Lohan has been helping her through this as she has been through it herself two years ago.” Friends, family and Lindsay are by her side. A rep for Lindsay Lohan did not want to comment.”

This article from TMZ actually sounds like it was mostly due to an eating disorder, especially as it’s well known that Lindsay has fought that same battle herself. However, this was all Sam herself had to say about it on her blog via People,

“Thanks for all your messages,” Ronson, 31, wrote in a post on Sunday. “I’m home and all good. Was just pretty exhausted from traveling and working too much to buy Chanukah gifts and my Jewish mother was worried about me.”
As for her recovery, Ronson writes: “I had good company and a Jerry’s Deli delivery of chicken soup and potato pancakes and am feeling much better. [I] am back to watching all my favourite Jerry Bruckheimer shows.”

So even though she did mention that she’s back home and doing better, while also adding that she’s taking in some pretty serious calories, she still makes no mention of whether or not an eating disorder was part of it, which I don’t think I would either if I were Sam. But looking at her, it’s not hard to see how that could really be a huge part of this past weekend’s hospital trip. We can all only hope I suppose that if she is suffering from this type of disease that she finds the help she needs and gets better soon.
