Britney’s Kids Swear and it’s not her Fault!

Aw shoot! Britney Spears had come such a long way that I was really rooting for her to keep proving everyone wrong and showing that she could be a normal person. She recently though, gave an interview with USA Today and while what she says isn’t ‘over-the-cuckoo’s-nest’ kind of stuff, it definitely isn’t the most mature thing that she’s ever said either. She spends some time talking about dating and then starts talking about how much she loves her kids. Okay, cute. And awesome, since ya know, she’s their mom. But then she starts talkign about how Sean swears but it’s not her fault because she doesn’t swear around him. Okay, are we back in grade five pointing fingers at who started it? From Celebitchy,

“She turns serious on the topic of her children. Despite losing custody of her sons, Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, to her ex-husband Kevin Federline, Spears has been able to see them more often, thanks in part to the conservatorship.

“Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they’re such special people,” she says.

She is critical of her ex and says the children “are starting to learn words like ’stupid,’ and Preston says the f-word now sometimes. He doesn’t get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids.”

I won’t even mention the fact that she most likely does drop the F-bomb around her kids once in a while. Because if you say it, they’re gonna catch you saying it at some point. But I have no idea what benefit this has to her to bring all of this up. Is she really just being juvenile or is she trying to show us that although she’s had her fair dose of crazy, her ex isn’t exactly up for sainthood either. Either way, I know that she’s doing crazy promotion right now with her documentary out on Sunday and her new album out on December 2 but this is a tidbit that she could have kept to herself. Although I think K-Fed is loathesome, I don’t think these remarks, blaming their child’s bad behaviour solely on him and using such a public platform, it’s just completely unecessary.
