It’s Divorce Court for Coleman and Price

divorcecourt1.jpgLiterally, Divorce Court, as in the TV show. Gary Coleman announced early this year that he and his new wife, Shannon Price had secretly gotten married on a mountaintop last August. The story had questions – valid questions – thrown its way from the very beginning. Why the secrecy? Why is such a young, attractive girl throwing her life away with a man, who’s not even remotely attractive by the way, and istwice her age? What is Price thinking, especially when she spoke out from the very beginning about how violent his temper is? I digress.

Now, to no one’s surprise, the two are getting divorced on account that they have never consummated their marriage and that, oh yeah, he’s a jerk. From The Associated Press,

“If he doesn’t get his way, he throws a temper tantrum like a five-year-old does,” Price says, according to a transcript of the show provided to The Associated Press. “He like stomps the floor and yells, ‘Meehhhh,’ and starts throwing stuff around. He bashes his head in the wall, too.”

Coleman says he gets frustrated because “the male is always the bad guy.”

“When I try to state my case or explain things to her or try to get her to understand my point of view,” Coleman says, “my point of view doesn’t matter.”

Coleman goes on to try and make the judge, Judge Lynn Toler, in Divorce Court feel sorry for him by explaining that he has so many problems in his life, he can barely make it out of bed every morning. Aw, poor Gary.

And who’s bright idea was it to hold the proceedings in Divorce Court? Give me a break! Thank the heavens that Price did something about this marriage that is just too ridiculous!
