April 16th, 2008 — Jennifer Meyer, Tobey Maguire
There are rumours floating around that Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer are expecting a little brother or sister for their seventeen-month old daughter, Ruby. From Celebitchy,
“In a world exclusive, In Touch can reveal that Tobey Maguire and his wife, Jennifer Meyer, are expecting their second child later this year — and they’re hoping it’s a boy. Jen is approaching her second trimester and she’s due in early October. “Jen and Tobey are over-the-moon happy,” a friend of the couple reveals. “Since they already have a daughter, they would love a little boy, but of course they would be just as thrilled with another daughter.
Jen’s doing great,” her friend reveals. “She had an easy pregnancy last time around, so this time it should also be a breeze.” The couple is in the process of building their dream home for their expanding family on a recently purchased lot in Brentwood that cost nearly $10 million!”
Although there’s no visible bump yet, the couple did want to plan another child around the two year birthday mark of Ruby. These rumours have yet to be confirmed but reps of both Maguire and Meyer haven’t confirmed or denied anything as of yet.
April 16th, 2008 — Ashton Kutcher, Cameron Diaz, Emilio Diaz
It’s a very sad time for Cameron Diaz, as she struggles to cope with the death of her father. From eCanadaNow,
“Hollywood (eCanadaNow) - Cameron Diaz has unfortunately lost her father, Emilio Diaz. He has died after suffering from pneumonia.
The 58-year old suddently passed away on Tuesday morning. He lived in Seal Beach, Calfornia and had recently been hurting from the flu, which turned into pneumonia.
Diaz is apparently very upset, and rightfully so. She recently returned to Los Angeles after visiting New York City, as well as Ashton Kutcher’s SNL after party when she received the tragic news.”
Emilio Diaz worked as a foreman in an oil company in Seal Beach and was in very good health before contracting the flu-related pneumonia. Cameron has also cancelled her plans to go to her London premiere next week so she can be with her family in this time of sadness. I’m sure all of our thoughts are with Cameron and her family and hopefully, the media will stay away for a little while to allow the family time to grieve privately.
April 16th, 2008 — Britney Spears, Jamie Spears, Lynne Spears, Sam Lutfi
And this is really what the whole conflict comes down to. Remember when you were in school and your mom says “That boy/girl is a bad influence! Don’t let me see you hanging around him/her!”? That’s the whole Sam Lutfi/Britney Spears issue in a nutshell. Britney Spears‘ parents both agree that Sam Lutfi and their daughter should not associate, and they’ve even issued a restraining order on Sam to keep him at bay. From InTouch:
“Britney Spears‘ former BFF and onetime manager, Sam Lutfi, has agreed to stay away from the singer until July 31. Sam was issued a restraining order in February after Brit’s mom, Lynne Spears, accused him of drugging the singer. Restraining orders can be extended up to five years, according to legal experts. In the meantime, Britney’s father, Jamie, and a lawyer retain their conservatorship of her estate until July 31, when it will be reviewed by the court. Their control is expected to be extended.”
So around early August or late July, Britney might be getting either further control from her parents, or more independence. At this point, it’s really hard to say what Britney’s best interests even are, though it appears that her father’s conservatorship over her property and self, might be helping. Perhaps in August, Britney might make some turn-around. Things have already quietened down a lot in that area, and she’s even been invited back to “How I Met Your Mother.”
