Sylvester Stallone Fined For Bringing Banned Drugs In Australia

The fading Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone has been fined for bringing banned body-building drugs into Australia earlier this year (2007). The ‘Rocky’ star has been asked to pay $2,450 only for this crime! (How come all celebrities get off so cheaply? I am sure that have much more moolah to shell out than poor you and me…)

The 60 year old actor pleaded guilty and showed plenty of remorse during this trial in an escape to pay the maximum penalty of $18, 136, according to Deputy Chief Magistrate Paul Cloran. But the DCM, Cloran has also ordered Stallone to pay the prosecution costs to the tune of $8,244 since the actor didn’t appear in the Sydney court for sentencing. (Now that’s what I call justice!)

On 16 May 2007, (last week) Stallone had public ally apologized for bringing the banned growth hormone ‘Jintropin’ into Australia in Feb’07. The Sydney airport customs officials detained the actor, seized his luggage and also raided his hotel room and searched his private jet for the substance. (Stay away from Jintropin now Stallone….how much do you need to grow anyways?)
