May 3rd, 2007 — Britney Spears
Britney Spears gave her first performance in nearly three years when she performed live on late Tuesday night before a raucous audience in San Diego.
Back with her usual lip-synced routine of older hits in a 14-minute performance, Britney managed to thrill and entertain
the screaming fans. Dressed in a pink bikini top with a very short white skirt and a black wig, Britney took the stage at the San Diego House of Blues at around 10:15pm. After a career break that featured two marriages, two children, divorces and rehab, Britney was in full form. Her Pussycat Dolls-style choreography consisted of many quick, sexy hip-hop moves, head spins, twirls, and rump-shaking.
Security guards had a tough time trying to hold back eager fans from rushing on to the stage as Britney began lip-syncing to her old hits such as “… Baby One More Time,” “Do Somethin’,” “I’m a Slave 4 U,” “Breathe on Me” and “Toxic.”
May 3rd, 2007 — Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman has asked her husband Keith Urban to wear an ankle monitor, in an attempt to keep him away from booze.
According to News.com.au, the Oscar winning actor is so concerned that the “country boy might backslide back into
the booze; she has decided to lock a remote-controlled alcohol monitor around his ankle.”
And Urban reportedly has no problems abiding by his wife’s demands - because he is determined to stay away from alcohol after his successful rehab program and has consented to wear the monitor, knowing full well that any hint of alcohol in his sweat will be detected by Nicole.
The Australian news agency has also stated: “It is believed the gadget is a Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor (also known as the SCRAM). The SCRAM is worn as an ankle bracelet to check for alcohol vapours that come out of the skin.”
Nicole will be busy shooting for the movie ‘Australia’ with Hugh Jackman, while Keith will be on the road with his SCRAM device.
